Cat’s POV One second Rick was on top of me and the next… Blood! I blinked, unsure if it was mine, his, or--- something else. The warm, sticky liquid ran down my face, and despite it feeling disgusting as s**t, I didn’t move. I just remained laying on the ground, suddenly staring up into the canopy. The sun gave the top an almost golden color, shimmering between the black leaves. The wind rustled the branches, resulting in a beautiful dance of colors, light, and darkness. The sounds of the forest had all vanished. I couldn’t hear anything, except… Screams. Pain! Howls… Finally, I shook off the stupor I’d somehow slipped into. I bolted upright and quickly found the source of the noise. I gasped when I saw it. The rusty-colored wolf was huge. Built like a tank, nothing but pure muscles
