Chapter Three As she’d suspected, there were two cartons of eggs in the fridge. Keeping one for breakfast, Cat watched Evelyn add a bottle of chocolate syrup, a can of spray cheese, and a bag of flour to their weaponry. Looking at the items on the counter, Cat bit her lip. “Are you sure this is a good idea? What if it isn't teenagers?” Evelyn raised an eyebrow. “Whoever’s outside is still there. We have a right to protect ourselves if something is going on. It’s your property. If we happen to throw couple of eggs and a bag of flour on Tom, d**k, or Harry, maybe they'll think twice about skulking around next time.” “Fair point. But I don't know. It still feels…kind of wrong,” Cat replied, her voice meek. She blushed when Evelyn rolled her eyes, and Evelyn put her hand on Cat’s shoulder
