Jason Mars the most eligible bachelor in New York and the sole heir to Mars Nexus Enterprise has been caught in a cheating scandal, will any girl truly be able to capture the heart of the Nation’s golden prince? Bella watched the news online and sighed with irritation.
“What a scumbag, well his not all to be blamed since girls keep throwing themselves around him, aren’t they even ashamed of themselves, if they are not, then I feel really ashamed for them, very disgraceful” She said as she scrolled through social media and finally dropping her phone in anger.

“How do you feel been all over the gossip taps again, you are literally the only celebrity right now, ahh I’m jealous, the golden prince that effortlessly charms his way into the hearts of many, I know you feel great huh?”Kyle said as he waved his phone at Jason.
Jason sat across Kyle in the living room, completely ignoring Kyle’s mocking words, as he busied himself with his phone.
“Damn man, you always get the best girls, such a pretty girl with just the perfect body, man look at that body, it could kill, Jay please can I get her number, I think I like this one” Kyle said his laughter filling the room, he kept on zooming in and out of the photo of the girl beside Jason on his phone.
physically irritated Jason said “Can you just get out of my house if you are here to disturb my peace”
Kyle kept on teasing him“Come to think of it Jay, it’s not a bad idea to take over your father’s company you know, I think you are overreacting, you don’t have to go to this extreme, just so your father won’t hand the company to you, I know you have your own things, but have you thought about merging them, imagining the kind of money at stake, c’mon man.”
After receiving the news that his father intends to hand over Mars Nexus Enterprise to him, Jason began to live recklessly,dating one girl and cheating with another, the other party always made sure the media captures all his escapades resulting to one scandal unto the other, all just to avoid taking over his father’s company, he has never been interested in taking over the company and swore to do everything in his power to make his dad give up on handing the company over to him.
“You know there is no avoiding it right? You are the only heir to your father’s empire, you only have a sister who is literally still a teen, I think you had better stop all this, giving yourself a bad reputation won’t do you any good, just give up already”
“My dad have always imposed on me, since I was a child, can’t I get a breather,I want to live my life and not have to worry about this bullshit”
Kyle leaned in and whispered “ I wish i were you, having no one to compete with over my father’s empire, wish I was the sole heir of my dad’s empire”
“Your brother’s back right?” Jason asked
“Yeah yeah,he’s already acting all high and mighty because the company has been handed over to him, all I can do is wish I was born a year and two months earlier so that I would be the heir to my father’s company” Kyle said
“We had better switch families” Jason said in a mocking tone and Kyle leaned forward and punched him lightly on his chest, the two men laughed it off.
Later that evening Jason walked into the living room of his penthouse, surprised to see Kyle still there sitting leisurely munching on snacks.
“Last time I checked you have a house of your own, why are you all up in my space” Jason asked,his voice with a hint of irritation.
“After being apart for 2months I thought you would appreciate me being all up in your space” Kyle replied holding his chest like someone who was punched on the chest.
Jason sat down completely ignoring Kyle and his stupid jokes
“Jay I think you should really consider taking over the company, it won’t be that bad”
“Where you paid to come disturb me? How much were you paid I will pay you double to get the hell out of my house, you are so annoying, this is my business, learn to mind your’s”
Kyle pre tended to choke as he held his chest“My heart is broken, is this how you treat your best buddy”
Just as Jason got up to go to the little bar in the living room his phone rang “MUM” written boldly in front of the screen.
“Jason, what’s this buzz going on about you and some girl again, I think it’s best if you get married soon” Jason’s mum said on the phone
“I’m not interested in getting married mum” Jason replied coldly
“What is the matter, is it because of your dad, can you both calm down, Jason all these girls you keep sleeping around with, you will eventually get yourself sick”
“I can take care of myself”
“Take care of yourself you say, your dad is very angry right now, do you know how much he’s spent trying to calm all the buzz down, Jason I need you to remember it’s not only you it’s affecting but also your whole family, please dear I need you to calm down a bit, you are the only son of the Mars family it’s only right for you to take over” his mother pleaded
“I will think about it”
“Why don’t you come home for dinner, your dad is home today, let’s have dinner together like family and talk things through”
“I’m not interested in dinner”
“Jason I’m begging you, come to dinner today by 7pm”
“Alright mum I will be there”
Jason cut off the call and looked angrily at Kyle who was grinning from mouth to ear.
“What’s so funny huh?”
“You are going to see your dad today?, what a beautiful family” Kyle teased
“By the time I’m out I really don’t want to see you in my house” Jason said as he walked off to his room.
As Jason showered, he thought deeply about the whole situation,it might not be bad to become the new CEO of his father’s beloved empire, he finally made up his mind to take over the company. He pondered over it as he got dressed and drove to his parents mansion for dinner.
They all ate their dinner in silence, even a pin drop will be as loud as an explosion
“Where is Sophie? Why isn’t she down for dinner”Jason asked
“Your sister is out tonight, she’s at a friends party” Jason’s mum replied
“And why have you refused to take over the company, why are you so stubborn, I don’t know where you got that from” Jason dad spat out angrily
“You really do not know where he got his stubbornness from, mr Mars?” His mum said
“Oh please, it’s all your fault that he’s turned out like this, always on the gossip tabs, blowing up money”
“It’s not like it’s your money I’m blowing up, why so pained about it, you took away everything from my card to my car when I was just 18, everything I own today I have worked hard to get” Jason said
“Without my connections , do you think you would have gotten far, you ungrateful child”
“Enough of this, I have had enough of two grown men acting like kids, can’t we come to a reasonable compromise” Jason’s mum said
“I have decided to take over the company from dad on one condit
ion”
Mr and Mrs Mars looked up at Jason, with wide eyes, what could his condition be?
