CHAPTER FOUR (Don't let him escape.)

         It was nightfall at the Skalian prison and Jackandi was still chained to the walls when he said, "I

need to take a shit."

        "I beg your pardon?",said a head guard.

        "You heard me",the guard picked a bucket and moved it behind Jackandi." You want me to do it

standing up? Are you sure you want to clean up my faeces off the floor?"

The guard looked disgusted.

       "You four loosen his chains so that he can squat and pull down his trousers". He said to four of the  guards.

       "Yeah, you four hurry up ",said Jackandi. They loosened his chains, he squatted and said, "so you've

all decided to watch me today?". The then guards all turned in unison. "Thank you!" He then

stuck out his tongue and there was a key on it, he then unlocked one of the shackles on his wrists with

it,it made a large clanking sound, one of the guards flinched.

      " What's happening there?",said the head guard. Then he turned around ,but Jackandi was just

squatting

      "I thought we agreed on privacy ",said Jackandi. The guard turned back, Jackandi proceeded to unlock

the one on his ankle,when it made another clanking sound. The head guard turned around and still

found him squatting.

      "Better hurry it up there",he said.

      "You can't rush my bowels now, can you?"

      "Just hurry up!", Jackandi finally unlocked the shackle on his other ankle when the guard caught him

in action and said,"the prisoner is trying to escape! Aim your cross bows!",the twenty guards turned

and aimed their crossbows at him. Jackandi tried to reach for his remaining wrist but an arrow was

fired near it and it grazed one of the guard's neck behind him.

      "Aim properly!",said the guard. " And stay alert he is a dangerous man....be careful.)

      "Sorry!",said the guard who fired.

This gave Jackandi an idea. He moved his wrist again this time towards the chain but no one fired. So

he tried unlocking the shackle on his wrist again but some one fired at his free hand and missed it.

The arrow ended up in one guard's neck and he dropped to the ground. The head guard then started to

approach him with a crossbow aimed at his head.

     "Try anything and you'll have an arrow through your head",he said. Then Jackandi reached for his

wrist again but ducked immediately he the key touched the shackle. Ten guards opposite each other

responded by firing in unison but Jackandi ducked too quickly and they missed and ended up hitting

each other,making ten of them hit the ground." You fools",said the head guard." Don't you see what

he's trying to do?" Then Jackandi stayed squatting on the floor(he didn't move after ducking) then

when the guard was just a leg stretch away from him, Jackandi tripped him by swinging his leg across

the floor. The guard fell and Jackandi tried to pick up his crossbow but an arrow knocked it out of his

hand. He tried again but this time with his shackled hand, an arrow was fired and broke the shackle.

     "Wow",said Jackandi. "These arrows are strong uhh." While he was looking at his wrist,the head guard

on the floor signalled at his men to close in on Jackandi. So they started closing in on him. They

surrounded him, making a circle of eight. The head guard was behind them saying.

     "You've got no where to go,just give up." Jackandi then kicked one of the guard's crossbows out and

dived down but they didn't fire this time. So Jackandi just stood there inside the circle. And when the

rest of them got closer, he kicked out the crossbows out of each of their hands so quickly that he

broke one of the guards fingers . Then he caught two of the crossbows and fired them at two guard's

necks, they fell to the ground. He picked up the rest of the crossbows, and fired at the remaining  four,leaving only the head guard . The head guard rushed for Jackandi but Jackandi picked up

another crossbow and fired at his foot leaving him unable to move because the arrow went through

his foot and into the ground.

         Then Jackandi slowly walked around him, walked behind him while he was

struggling to remove the arrow and twisted his head. The guard fell to the ground. Jackandi then put

on his uniform although the helmet fit him a bit loosely. He then asked the corpses ." Why didn't you

guys just use your swords?" And then bent down and started to defacate in the bucket . When he

left the cell he saw a whole bunch of guards at the bottom of the building having a meal, they looked

to be about two hundred of them.

          "All this for me? Wow.",he mumbled with a surprised look that complimented a look of awe.

The building was cylindrical so the staircase was spiral and on the staircase there were twelve guards

standing about fifty meters apart .then proceeded to head for the exit which was very at the bottom

of the building. This was hard because his cell was near top of the building. One guard recognised him,

but before he could inform the others, Jackandi twisted his head. Unfortunately another guard saw

him twist his head.

         "Hey! You there what do you think you're doing?",said the guard, he then looked at him for a while."It's Scourge! He's trying to  escape!" He informed the guards who were downstairs.

         Then they all rushed to where he was (they looked like ants climbing up a cup), with swords and

crossbows and started firing arrows rapidly. Jackandi bolted towards the top where there was a

window he could have escaped from , while dodging arrows, it was as if he was faster than the

arrows and he was also able to outrun the guards. The window was too high for him to just jump out

of, but wasn't focusing on that at the moment. He dodged all of the arrows until one pierced his

hand. "Ahh!",he moaned. But continued running up, he even increased his speed so he wouldn't get

hit. The next arrow knocked off the helmet he was wearing. When the helmet tumbled off his head it

tripped one of the guards in front, which slowed them down.

          Now Jackandi was sixty meters a head

of them. Then four guards appeared from on the top floor when he was about hundred meters away

from him, three of them stood in a line with crossbows aimed at him and the fourth one guarding

the window"ughh I don't have time for this",he grumbled. Then as he was running up the stairway

he dodged the arrows the guards ahead where firing. He jumped onto the bannister when he was five

meters away ,removed the arrow from his wrist " ahh",he exclaimed. Then he jumped over the three

guards ,tucked and rolled and ran towards the window, the guards then chased after him ,while

firing arrows,two arrows penetrated his back and another on his arm . The guard in front of the

window then fired an arrow which pierced his thigh but he continued running. The guards more fired

arrows at him but they missed and got stuck in the wall below the window,forming a line of arrows.

          He skewered the guard in the neck with the arrow, used the arrows stuck in the wall as a ladder and

jumped through the window. Near the entrance stood the commander holding a bow and arrow aiming

for Jackandi, but when he fired it, it only grazed his chest. Jackandi fell four hundred meters ,landed

in the river and the current swept him towards the waterfall,leaving a trail of blood in the water.

         "Damn it!",said the commander." I want you to set out posters for the bounty hunters to see " he said

to one of the guards, " I will give one billion scales to whoever finds that rat! And for the rest of you

follow that river I know the current but he might not have gotten far!"

         "But commander",said one of the head guards." He fell from a five hundred meter high window I'm

sure he's dead and he's headed for a waterfall how do we chase after him". The commander slapped

the guard.

         "I want twenty head guards in pursuit of him!",the commander shouted. "And as for you smart man I

want you to swim after him down the water fall"

        "But co-"

        "You dare defy my orders?"

        "N-No commander."

        "Go on then."The guard dived into the river and the current swept him towards the water fall. The

twenty guards then followed the commander's orders as Jackandi's body drifted away.
