Uninvited Guest

Viktoria I cover my face and grunt. Oh, Adrien, you seriously don't have an ounce of brains. How does he think it's okay to offer money to a person he just met online?... it's literally Life 101 and he's failing horribly. If I were a little worse, I'd take the opportunity to get money out of him before I kill him, but luckily for him I'm not, so I just thank him and end this conversation. I'm getting sick of him thinking so much about Tamara, so I've decided I don't need her to get information out of him anymore. Now I can get it out myself and, actually, I don't even need much information anymore. I have what I need. It’s enough to proceed with the killing of Derek ever gives me the chance. I get up from his bed and start thinking about what I'm going to do. Should I leave now that Adrien is gone or should I stay here a while longer to pass the time? I mean, at this point I've done all the research I need to do around Adrien's entire house and he has absolutely nothing interesting besides some weed and that giant pack of cocaine that could land him in prison for a couple of years... but I like this house more than my own Airbnb. Adrien's bed is incredibly comfortable and his pool looks perfect for a swim in this weather. The only bad thing is that he has nothing to eat besides some chips, a couple of bananas, a lot of bread and peanut butter. All of that are things I don’t like, but I'm starving, so I'm forced to make myself some toast in the most technological toaster I've ever seen in my entire life that Adrien was going off about last night. I must admit, it's pretty cool, you can even toast different images on the bread. I select the option of a cute little dog and then I eat it. Is it some kind of metaphor? Because Adrien is a stupid dog that I want to eat... and then I'm going to kill. I sigh while I'm eating the boring toast and I decide to call Derek. "Viktoria? Everything okay?" "Yeah, yeah, everything's fine. I just want to know if you still want me to take more time with Adrien?" I ask, opening the refrigerator door for the third time, expecting something delicious to magically appear, but it doesn't. Damn Adrien. "Yeah, to be honest, it's too soon, especially now that Damien's all up in our business, too," he complains with a growl, "You should go looking for info on him because he'll probably be your next victim." I roll my eyes hard but answer in a peaceful manner and once again, I don't give him the information I should be giving him. Derek is my boss, he's the man who is making me a million dollars richer. I should let him know that Adrien was selling drugs before and that he has quite a bit in his possession... but again, I don't want to. I feel like Adrien doesn't deserve that. So if I can't kill him yet, I'm totally going to fück him until it's time to send him to god. I make sure to put away everything I took out of the kitchen and then I walk out of Adrien's house, meeting the gaze of one of the guards that’s patrolling the street. He looks at me with confusion for a couple of seconds, probably because he knows Adrien lives alone. Luckily, it's very easy to imply something that he's not going to doubt at all when I look down as if I'm worried that all my clothes are on properly and give him a shy smile. The guard nods as a greeting and goes about his business, while I wait for the uber I ordered to take me to my Airbnb. As soon as I get out of the car, I take off my shoes again and enter the house, letting out a grunt and walking straight to the kitchen to make myself something delicious to eat, except that the presence of two people in there make me gasp and stand in shock. "Dad? Uncle?" I ask, unable to believe what I'm seeing until they get up from the table to hug me with big happy smiles, "What the hell are you guys doing here, how did you even—?" "Where were you all night?" My uncle asks with narrowed eyes, ignoring my question before hugging me a little too hard "I was doing research on my subject." "Ah, okay. I thought you were distracting yourself with other nonsense like in London.” my uncle complains, reminding me of the one job where I may not have been as efficient as I could have been. I mean, I still killed the guy I was supposed to kill, but I also slept with his son while I was at it. He didn’t suspect me a bit, so I don’t know why my uncle is still not over it. "We just finished a job together and wanted to come visit you." My father tells me, walking to the table again, where they already have a pile of food ready. It smells delicious. "A job, together?" "Yes. It was a lot more than just two guys," my father replies, raising his fist to his brother for a punch, "Fun stuff." I finally react and walk over to an empty chair to sit there and eat, "Tell me all about it."
