Kael woke up feeling different. His body felt stronger and more agile, and his senses seemed heightened. He could hear the faint hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen, and the sunlight streaming through the windows seemed almost blinding.
As he got out of bed, he noticed his reflection in the mirror. His eyes seemed more yellow than usual, and his nails looked sharper, almost claw-like.
He tried to shake off the feeling of unease, telling himself it was just a side effect of the strange dreams he'd been having. But as the day went on, the symptoms only intensified. His senses grew worse. He could feel his heart beating faster, his senses growing more acute, and his strength increasing.
He tried to lift a heavy box in the garage, and to his surprise, he was able to lift it with ease. He could feel the muscles in his arms and legs growing stronger, and his reflexes becoming quicker.
But with the physical changes came a growing sense of unease. Kael felt like he was losing control, like his body was betraying him. He didn't know what was happening or how to stop it.
As the sun began to set, Kael felt a strange sensation wash over him. His body began to ache, his muscles cramping and spasming. He felt like he was being pulled apart from the inside out.
He stumbled to his bed, collapsing onto the mattress in exhaustion. He could feel his teeth aching, and his gums throbbing. His mouth felt strange, his senses overwhelmed.
What was happening to him? He had no idea, but he knew it couldn't be good.
Panic set in as he realized he was losing control. His body was changing, but he didn't know how or why.
All he knew was that he felt like he was going crazy, like his body was rebelling against him.
And then, just as suddenly as it had started, everything stopped. The pain subsided, his muscles relaxed, and his senses returned to normal.
Kael lay there, panting, trying to make sense of what had just happened. But he couldn't. All he knew was that his body was changing, and he had no idea what he was becoming.
