Chapter 5
Junes mother was a stripper, she danced for money, and did many other horrible things. Harvey's father fell in love with Junes mother despite getting married he even divorced his wife to be with her. June received many curses but how was this her fault.
In the hospital, Hailey affirmed that she lost the baby after the accident, and she could not remember anything, she lived on the streets, and begged to survive, she was so confused and alone till she met a kind old lady who took her in.
Luke assured her that as long as they are together, there will be no problems at all, he was going to divorce June immediately.
He went back home to have a word with June, but before he could say anything June caught him off guard by giving him a letter.
“You're pregnant?, but how is that possible, I don't remember having anything to do with you.”
“That's because you were drunk Doctor Luke”, she showed him a video, and he covered his eyes in shame.
What was he going to do now?.
“Listen you can keep the baby, I don't mind, you can even live here, but we can't be together as husband and wife.”
June ran to her room and cried, though she was not pregnant, yet she lost, she lost everything.
She took a knife, and went downstairs, she saw that Luke was about to sign the divorce papers. “If you dare to sign it, I will end my own life right here, and you will go to jail!.”
Luke's has froze, and he turned, looking upstairs, his eyes widened.
“Don't do anything crazy, ok?, please, look, I'm throwing the pen away, look,were not getting divorced.” He tried to go close to her but, she slit her wrists and fell, Luke took her to the hospital.
“Why do you seem worried D?.”. Hailey asked him.
“It's nothing, don't worry about me, take good care of your health first, I will handle everything.” He kissed her forehead lightly and went to Junes ward .
“Why are you here?, go and be with Hailey, she's all you care about now, I have become nothing, you said you love me, is this your love?, i have being divorced once, and now you want to divorce me too.” Be bowed her head and cried. Like was torn in his emotions, who should he be with, could he not be with them both?.
His phone rang it was his assistant.
“Sir, Ive found a clue, a way we could trap your father's murderer, turns out it was a lady.”
“A lady?.” Like said out loud, he knew his father, was a drunk, but he was not aware that he also cheated on his mother. He stormed out of the hospital, and went to see his assistant, while June decided to have a word with Hailey.
“Listen to me ma'am, I know you are Likes first wife, but that does not mean I am nothing to him.”
“You took advantage of his loneliness, and made him get married to you, and now you are trying to trap him with another man's baby, you are truly evil.” Hailey replied.
“Yes I am, June is evil, June is evil, is it my fault that I am my mother's daughter?, did I choose her?.”. Hailey said nothing, she was to tired to engage in a battle of words.

Luke hugged his assistant. “You are more than a staff, you are my brother, tell me how got such classified information.”. The assistant took Luke to where his father was murdered.
“Your father's murderer left clues everywhere, perhaps she's challenging us, find me if you can, do you know anyone who would own these nails if not a lady?.”
Luke saw all the clues his assistant mentioned, and shook his head.
“I dont think this was a ladies doing, someone is trying to mislead us.”. Just then Like had the feeling he was being watched by someone, he looked around and saw, someone running, he went after him, and his assistant followed, but the man was too fast.
Luke turned to his assistant.
“You will have to live with me from now on, I don't want anything to happen to you.”
The assistant nodded staring at the direction the criminal went but saw nothing..
Hailey was discharged from the hospital, and Luke sent a servant to take her home.
She saw Rose, who welcomed her with flowers.
“My mum told me you were sick, as long as I am here I will take good care of you!.” She smiled,
“And whose your mother?”, Hailey asked.
“I am”. Junes voice echoed..
“She is June and Luke's daughter.”.
Haileys face turned pale, but the ignorant Rose could not hold back her words.
“Yes madam, they adopted me.”
June hit her forehead with her hand, and Hailey smiled, she went into her room, and asked the servants to bring back all the photos they hung on the wall.
“Sir burnt them madam, we thought you were dead.” She nodded and sat on the bed thinking about how June must be feeling.
“I will not let her stay a minute longer, I need to get her out of this house but how do I that, Luke loves her so much, she came and instantly took my place in his heart, I have become nothing to him.”
She remembered the words of her ex husbands mother.
“You will end up alone just like your mother, it is your destiny.”
June was determined to fight her destiny, she would not let such cruel fate rest on her.
“Why are you so restless?.” June looked back, and rolled her eyes when she saw who it was.
“We can be friends you know?.”
June did not want to have anything to do with Hailey, she instantly shut the door on her face.

Luke's assistant sat in his office thinking about today's scene, the person the saw running was definitely a woman, she left her anklet behind, but Luke would not believe him, he thinks it is a man, how will I find this person.
“You will never find me doctor Luke, because the day you do, my face will be the last thing you ever see!, I will remain invisible, and torment you as long as I please.”
Luke sat, his face pale he was bothered, there was no one to share his thoughts with, he missed his parents so much, his eyes were filled with tears, but as a child his father always said. "Men don't cry.", but he was an emotional man, he cried over everything sometimes he wondered why he was weak, he determined from that second, to never cry again, or be depressed again.
