Crown queen with several of her maids entered Prince Enrique’s room. He was still sleeping on his bed.
“Keep all of these here, all the royal suits there, ornaments and jewelleries on that table, put the basket of fruits close to that chair. Let Prince wake up and I will personally dress him today.” She ordered her personal servant, Marvin.
Marvin was the Crown Queen’s devoted servant. He was the in-charge of maintaining the queen’s requirements and necessities. He used to bring all the news of outside and the secret talking’s that happened within the palace. No one could really escape his sharp, cunning eyes. But Prince Enrique was the only person in the entire palace who had tricked him but failed many times also. Marvin was the powerful in the Palace, his orders and commands were obeyed by all servants and maids.
Today was the Prince Enrique 20th birthday and hence whole of the servants were busy in embellishing the entire Palace with lights and lanterns. There were arrangements and decorations going on every corner of the rooms, walls, halls and lawns. All the favourite dishes of the Prince Enrique were being prepared in the royal kitchen by cooks and some new cooks. The new cooks took entry in the palace ten days before the celebration. Many cooks were removed because of their bad health and slow work.
Marvin took the responsibility for the new members to be added in the palace for work. Today night, grand celebration was going to be organised in the ball room. All the major kings and queens, prince and princess, duke and duchess were heartily invited. No one had ever seen the Prince Enrique so all the great people in the state and outside countries were quite eager to meet the prince since he was the first in line to the throne after the current King Alfred, his father.
King Alfred was the king of Jermain(country) after his father’s demise in the battlefield of Uresia (country). He was enthroned then as the new king; he took most of the powerful capitals under his governance. He was strong and dominating. He could reach to any farthest extent in order to gain power and stability.
King Alfred fell in love with princess Julian of Armania. But there had been a bone of contention in their love. The state of Jermain had ten most kingdoms under his account but the only kingdom he could not able to bring under him was Armania. Armania had tied links with major powerful countries but the rival state was Jermain. King Alfred was the ruthless king, he spared none. When their love was opposed by the Prince Andrel, brother of Julian they plotted. Hence, by false deception and deceive King Alfred finally took the control and now the city of Armania was under his tyranny.
The king had three wives, apart from his love Julian he too married Goneril of Uresia and an odalisque, Azmira whom he had loved for a short period of time. She was never abled to give birth to a child. Most of the time she lost her baby in womb. Though she was King’s legal wife but still she lacked importance in the palace. Not having any child had replaced her existence in the palace as a royal member. Most of the time she spent her time with little princess Alexa who was just six years old and sometimes with Queen Mother (Safiya).
Julian gave birth to a daughter named Sarah and son Enrique. Princess Sarah married to king Felix of North Erox(country). Goneril gave birth to two daughters and a son, princes, Giana (Elder), Prince Johan and Alexa (little Princess).
Apart from them the palace had the eldest and oldest member, former Queen Safiya, mother of King Alfred and grandmother to all the grandchildren. She had earlier possessed most power in her hand but after the first marriage of his son, all her orders were diminished and declined, she lost her importance as the Grand queen but the only power that still exist was her right to the Palace’s treasury and huge lands and property she owned. Without her permission and legal signature, no part of the treasury could be distributed to anyone.
The first wife Julian was titled as the crown queen because she became the chief consort and prominent women in King’s life. She achieved power because of her influence in politics, state affairs and war strategies. Moreover, she had the charming face and her boldness personality that had attracted the King towards her. Crown queen’s orders were never rejected by anyone, her commands were foremost and most importantly she gave King Alfred the most precious gift, Prince Enrique, the successor. Son of Goneril, Johan was still incompetent and inexperienced, weak and therefore Julian got the plus point to let her son to rule the territory.
There were other royal members too which included two supreme governors, several important ministers, chief executives and palace foremost royal guards and a female servant Kamilla who maintained the workings of all women in and out of the palace.
The magnificent palace of Jermain extended approximately 270 feet from east to west. It had 4 main watch towers with a pair of circular angle-turrets with a finely ball-finialled, conical bell-cast-roofs and a diamond shaped tower of justice in the middle. The towers were linked by a recessed four- storey, with a central principal entrance being framed by a giant, structural Doric columns and surmounted by the carved by the ancient arts of Jermain. The justice tower also had an East-front with a well-furnished architectural style balcony to address the crowds or armies of janissaries. Above it rested a golden crowned cupola with a clock rises behind a broken pediment supported by lions and tigers cemented-statues. The palace had 300 private rooms. Some of the rooms were allotted to servants and maids, royal kitchen attached with royal dinner room, a round circular ball-room which could accommodate 500 guests altogether. It also had a beautifully- decorated garden of love. It was named as love because it had a huge lawn of various natural- colourful roses.
The garden was behind the palace and it extended on an area of about 270 acres. It was the sub-area where all the cousins learnt moral values that every royal person should learn in his or her age, teachings, rules and regulations of the palace that should not broke ever and apart from these we too learnt horse-riding, bow-shooting, sword-fighting and many more. One of the paths of the garden led to a forest but it was very very far and before anyone could reach their, royal guards catch them up in half way. The garden was foremost and merely substituted to royal members and families, no outsider was even allowed to roam. Servants and maids were allowed but only for work if required. The huge castle was surrounded by 1000 guards for protection by any means of attack.
