Jace POV

Before I even made it to Onyx's office Corinn was mind linking me what Damon was dancing with Keelin. I was not happy about it but I told her to keep an eye on them, the decision to tell her what we found out from Koda's grandmother was the best idea because now we have extra help protecting her and shes good at keeping the secret. 

"Jace he is taking her out to the south balcony to talk alone"  She screeched in my head, we both knew what he wanted to ask her. She will never be his mate, not if I'm alive.

She may not believe he has feelings for her but I have seen the way he looks at her and how he did not want her to leave the pack.

"On my way." I told Koda to go tell Onyx and meet me on the balcony, I ran fast through the ball room. Corinn was standing close to the door waiting for me, she stopped me from bursting through the doors. 

Damon was fiddling with a small box as he got down on one knee, Keelin looked at him unsure.

"Keelin you are strong, and loyal and I know you would make an incredible Luna. Would you do me the honor of becoming my ma-"

That's it I've had it, this time Corinn didnt try and stop me from busting them up but was just as angry as me. I threw the doors open and marched outside with Corinn at my side, Damon quickly stood up.

"Thanks for ruining the moment!" He exclaimed.

"Keelin I told you if he tried this I would kill him!" I yelled glaring at him.

"What are you her mate or something?!" The dark haired Alpha yelled back at me.

"What no." Keelin choked out.

"Then?" He asked her.

"Damon I-" I lunged at him before she could finish her sentence.

*Punch* I hit his face "She will" *punch* he hit my face "Never be your"

The world stopped as a scent him me, and a girl shoved herself between the two of us. She yelled something at him making him back off instantly but all I could focus on were the soft brown eyes she had, and the tingles in the spot her hand had touched mine. Her short blonde hair getting messy from her quick movements, the only thing I herd her say to her brother was "Mate."

My mate.

"Emily Leeann Marshall is Jace's mate!" Keelin was almost laughing.

"So my sister is your mate and you have an issue with me wanting Keelin as mine?" He yelled rubbing his black eye.

"Emily, how perfect." Her blonde hair was silky as I touched it, she launched herself into my arms and the world disappeared around us.

Keeling POV

"Emily Leeann Marshall is Jace's mate!" I was almost laughing because who would have guess Jace's mate would be the little sister of the mans face he had been punching in rage seconds before.

"So my sister is your mate and you have an issue with me wanting Keelin as mine?" Damon yelled at Jace rubbing his black eye.

"Emily, how perfect."

"Wait I forgot you were asking me to be your mate." I said shocked.

"Keelin you cant!"Corinn yelled in a panic at me.

"She is grown and she can make her own decisions" Damon yelled back at Croinn.

The scent of cinnamon and pine was strong again as a deep voice spoke.

"She will have to reject me first." We all turned to see the man who spoke he was standing next to Koda.

He looked like a Greek god chiseled from marble, his short black hair was carefully styled and I wanted to run my hands through it. His prefect face was the best shade of natural tan but his eyes took my breath away. They looked like the clouds right before it rains, and his voice made me feel like I was going to melt into a puddle at his feet. The moon Goddess actually gave me a mate, and a damn perfect one at that.

Prince Onyx Mikles of all wolves.

"Prince Onyx" Damon bared his neck.

"Future Alpha Mikles to you" Holy s**t the Prince is my mate. 

My phone vibrated to alert me to a text.

"We found the young prince, Lupin is away come to the cabin ASAP  -Kade"

"Im so sorry but I have to go" I jumped over the balcony and shifted into my white wolf and ran as fast as I could. My wolf whimpered, we found our mate and ran away.

We ran away to save his brother, he will forgive us.

As I ran all I could think of were his alluring grey eyes and his dominating voice.

Onyx POV

I was in shock my feet would not move, she smiled at me before looking at a phone and running away. 

"Would someone like to tell me why the f**k my mate just ran into the Dark Wood"

No one said a word but the she wolf standing next to Jace and his mate was looking at her feet, I could feel the anxiety coming off of her.

"You better tell me now Corinn." I demanded using my Alpha tone.

"You mother has her looking for your brother since she has become familiar with the woods Sir." she bared her neck to me, I was shaking with rage how could my mother send MY MATE into those woods alone!!!! Everyone left on Jace's command except Koda, the two tried to restrain me from going after her and soon more members of the guard were helping.

I was restrained and sitting in my fathers office waiting on my mother to give us an answer, my father was angry too.

"TELL ME MARIA!" My father yelled, he has never yelled at my mother before.

"She is strong and for some reason she survives the Dark Wood, since the day she rescued that i***t girl she has been slipping in and out. I saw her one day and asked her if she would be willing to look for Slate." My mother spoke holding my eye contact.

"You ordered her to look for our dead son!?"

"He is not dead Grey I can feel it, and no I did not order her. I told her she did not have to do this and nothing would happen if she refused." She had tears streaming down her face at the mention of Slate.

"Mom no one will say no to their Queen Luna." With that I left the room in the restraints, I joined Jace, Koda, and Corinn at the border to the woods to wait for my precious mate. The only reason I am not in the Wood looking for her is because the stupid ankle bracelet prevents me from crossing pack lines and only my father can remove it.

We sat and waited in silence.

All I can do is pray to the moon goddess my beautiful mate will return to me unharmed.
