Luna's Request

We sat in the lovely snow covered garden and made small talk until the rest of the wolves cleared out for the evening.

"Now Miss Blake, I have watched you sneak in and out of the Dark Woods a couple times now. You are aware its forbidden for its dangerous and unknown creatures that lurk inside, but yet you come back without a scratch every time."

I didnt speak and my body was slightly tense, hoping she does not order me to tell her why or how. I can lie but my wolf will not let me ignore a direct command from the Queen Luna. She watched me looking for a reaction, sighed when she did not get one.

"This is an informal conversation, you are not in trouble Keelin. Do you understand?" My body relaxed.

"Yes Luna."

 "I wanted to ask a very large favor of you, you do not have to say yes and there will be no consequences if you do." She spoke softly to make sure no one could hear before she continued. "I know you are meeting someone there and you do not have to tell me who even if it is your mate. But since they seem to know the area well and manage to keep you safe I was hoping you would take on a task for me in the woods."

"Of course Luna, what is it?" 

"Grey would never ask this of you simply because he believes Slate is dead. You do know who Slate is right?"

I nodded my head in response to the missing princes name.

"I can feel it, I know he is alive in those woods and I want you to find him. Can you do that for me? Not as your Queen or your Luna but simply as Maria a heart broken mother?" Unshed tears filled her soft brown eyes at her request. 

"Of course" I smiled, remembering how my mother felt when I was missing. She stood and hugged me for a few moments while quietly crying into my shoulder.

"Very well you may enter through my private garden, not even Grey goes in it. Guards are stationed on both sides but if you are quest enough no one will know. If anyone asks for you I will simply say you are on errand for me and not even Grey will question it. Now go see your parents off and please update me on any information you come across. I will see you at the ball Sunday." Luna sniffled and made her way back into the castle with her head held high.

Now I have the perfect way in and out of the forest and a good reason to stay gone for longer periods of time, I will fine the Prince.

After five excruciating hours of dress shopping with Corinn we found our dresses.

"I dont know why you enjoy this so much." I groaned, this was not fun thank goddess the castle was paying for our dresses since they asked me to attend. Corinn is my plus one since I do not have a mate.

"Think about it K, the prince visited every pack in the world. The WORLD K! He still has not found his mate!! The chances that his mate is here are beyond likely!!" She screeched.

"Let me guess, you hope its you?" Though I would not be surprised she is beautiful and talented, she fits as a princess and queen.

"I honestly dont care who it is but I dont want it to be Marissa. It just exciting thats all."

We were sitting on my bed watching a movie and I finally decided to tell her about my brother and father, she knew I had been sneaking off but she never questioned me about it. 

"So your telling me you met your birth brother who just happens to be your twin and tomorrow you are meeting your father?! Holy s**t I mean I knew you were sneaking off but I thought you met your mate and you were not ready to tell me yet. Does Koda know?" Corinn's words came out frantic.

 "No and you can not tell him, he will flip out if he knows I've been sneaking in the woods. But there is more and it is the reason I am so different." Her honey eyes seem to hold excitement. "My father is a demon" I whispered that last part.

"HOLY MOT-" My hand covered her mouth before she could speak more.

SHHHHH I put a finger over my mouth gesturing her to be quiet.

"I thought they stayed in the under world, and who knew they could mate with wolves..."

"Seriously Cor you can not tell anyone, who knows what they would do to me."

"My lips are sealed, lets go to dinner I know you are hungry."

The main dining room had about 50 tables in it, the kitchen staff cooked enough to fill several huge tables. I sat with Corinn, Koda, Jace and a few other warriors who were gushing about Prince Onyx returning after a year of searching for his mate. My mind was to focused on meeting my father in the morning so I spent most of dinner making idle chit chat and pushing my food around my plate.

Jace and Koda had been acting weird the last dew days and quickly left dinner together, they were acting suspicious so I decided to follow them. Standing outside the door to the room they were in I masked my scent so they wouldn't know I was listening. 

"-the only logical explanation Jace!" Koda sounded exasperated.

"I guess that is true, but she said the black bloods will tremble at her name as she reins. Everyone knows shes different, its obvious but what could that mean, the black bloods cannot walk earth." Jace sounded as he just figured something out.

So they are clearly talking about me, black bloods must be the were-beasts in the Dark Wood.

"Do you think we should tell them?" Their voices got quieter and it got hard to hear.

"Goddess has a plan, all I know is we both felt connected to her so it has to be true. I trust her-"

Shit even with my hearing its difficult, I'm just getting bits and pieces.

"Simon's brother-"

"agreed" Jaces voice?

"We must ------ Luna safe" Ugh I need to know what they know!

"Lets go tell the king about the black blood" Koda's voice was louder as their foot steps were getting close, I took my chance to run off before they caught me.
