"Jace stop standing at my door and come in already" He came into the room and swiftly shut the door behind him.

"Your scent is different, why?" s**t I stopped drying my hair and gave him my most confused look.

"I switched body wash today." My father told me this would happen, after meeting him the demon blood would be stronger and could cause my scent to change slightly.

"Hmm, well dinner is already and Koda wont shut up about you not being around so come eat before I knock him out."

"I'll be there is a minute" He left the room but I don't think he fully bought my excuse.

Once my hair was dry and properly brushed I threw on some sweats, a long sleeve black shirt and shoes. I started my way to the dining hall to eat, though what I really want right now is blood.

"Look!!" My wolf started jumping around like a puppy

"What? I dont see anything or anyone new." Then it hit me like a brick wall, cinnamon and pine. The scent made my mouth water and every nerve in my body was screaming out to find the source.

Running as fast as I could I searched everywhere but never found the source, deciding to give up and go eat before Jace comes and bugs me again.

"Keelin!" Koda's voice filled with excitement as I plopped down next to him and Corinn.

"Took you long enough" Jace huffed under his breath. My little group of friends were asking me where I've been but I could not focus on the buzz of their voices. I could still smell that intoxicating scent and it is all I can think of. 

*Snap*

*snap - snap*

"Yo earth to Keelin!"

"Huh? What? Sorry" I looked at Jace and pushed his hand out of my face

"Corinn has asked you about a hundred times now if you are okay!" 

"Oh um yeah Im fine, not really hungry." I admitted, her soft eyes held worry.

"Kee you have not been eating much, whats going on? Is it something with yo-" I glared at her before she could finish her sentence. Koda and Jace would not let it go if they found out where I have been going and who I have been seeing.

"I just got into an argument with my mom thats all, she keeps telling me how Damon found his mate's scent but her parents said she had died a few days before that. So the council is demanding he choose a Luna anyway and my crazy ass mom really thinks I would be a good Luna." I chuckled, it wasn't a total lie. We did have that fight but it was when she was still at the castle, she thinks Damon is in love with me or something.

Koda and Jace shared a look.

"You dont know?" Koda asked me.

"Know what?"

"Damon will be here tomorrow for the ball, all the alphas will be." Koda finished.

"He better not ask you to be his Luna or ill -ill" Jaces eyes flashed his wolfy silver, Corinn put her hand on his to get his attention. What am I missing?

"Why does it matter Jace? We all know I am different and probably wont have a mate anyway but I dont see Damon that way and I doubt he would even ask me." Jace stood up with his eyes flashing silver again.

"Just know if he does, I will kill him." He forced the words out through gritted teeth. I slammed my hands down on the table and stood up across from him.

"What the f**k is your problem?! What are you hiding from me!" I yelled at him while trying to push my wolf down, she got oddly mad at his tone with us.

"Oh come off it Keelin, you are always sneaking off and hiding stuff from us! I thought we were friends?!" He shouted in my face.

At this point we were in a yelling match.

"Friends? Thats why I hear you and Koda whispering about me? Thats why you have made such an effort to keep me at arms length and not get close with me like a REAL friend would?" I am seething at this point. I want to rip someones head off.

"Wait you know" Koda's somehow soft voice cut through and got my attention.

"Yeah Koda I KNOW, you and Jace like to sneak off and talk about me but unfortunately I dont know why." I spit at him. "Some f*****g friends you are, now even Corinn is being weird around me. Im f*****g done!"

"Keelin wait." Jace tried to grab my shoulder as I rushed passed him, but I punched him in the stomach as hard as I could and he went flying 10 feet into a stone wall. There was a snicking crunch as his shoulder made impact. He sat on the ground and looked at me with shock, along with the rest of the wolves in the dining hall who had watched our little fight.

"Jace Im so sorry" I rushed over to him and tried to help him up.

"Im fine." He pushed passed me and left the room. I just stood their dumb struck by the amount of strength I have, I didn't know I had.

Corinn was running up to me as Koda ran after Jace.

"Oh my goddess Keelin" Was all she said before I ran out side door and into the Dark Wood.

Unknown POV

I herd shouting so I made my way to the small balcony over looking the dining hall, Jace was fighting with some she wolf. 

"Beta can take care of himself." My wolf grunted, I agree but this girl is interesting. She turned and started yelling at Koda, her voice was the most beautiful thing I have ever herd. So captivating and full of power, holy s**t she's strong too. The way she hit Jace, she can protect herself that much is for sure. Keelin, that other girl called her Keelin. 

Beautiful. My wolf puffed out his chest.

As she turned to run out the door I caught her scent, it is an over powering scent of honeysuckle and moss but something about it was different than any wolf I have encountered before.

Her long silky brown hair framed her pale face perfectly, though I didnt see her eyes I know they will be amazing to look into.

Im going to go talk to Jace and Koda about my beautiful odd little mate, maybe they know where she is running off to.
