Scott asks, “Are you warm enough?”
“I’m always warm around you.”
Looking at the menu, they are glad they skipped lunch. Luckily they are both hungry. Dinners are served family style with crusty bread, minestrone soup, salad, pasta, and their main course. There is no way they are going to leave this place hungry. Wendy orders the Marsala Chicken; Scott orders the spaghetti-ravioli combination. They share a bottle of Chianti wine. They do a good job on their food, but they cannot eat it all. After the meal, they sip the wine and talk.
Scott is thinking I love this girl. Their relationship has been based on a friendship. Falling in love is not supposed to be a part of it. It is just that Wendy is so special; Scott wants to be with her all the time.
