Big Time Demos

I walked out to the pool with smoothies for me and James. I saw Kelly give them their plane tickets and couldn't help but feel sad.

"Hey James, did Kelly break the news to you guys yet?"

"Yeah, I just hope our demos get picked."

"I know me too. Oh by the way here's your smoothie."

I handed him his smoothie and he smiled up at me.

"Why don't the rest of us get smoothies?"

"Well Kendall for one you're not James, and two you want a smoothie go get it yourself because I'm not your personal waitress."

"Sorry Kendall, she's not your girlfriend."

"Baby, I'll be right back."

"Where are you going?"

"That my love is a surprise."

I quickly ran to my apartment and put my dad girl outfit on and then walked back outside to find that the boys aren't there.

So I went to Rocque Records and found that the boys where talking to Gustavo.

Gustavo stopped what he was doing to find that I had put on my bad girl outfit.

"Bella, seriously you scare people go change and put on a nice outfit that shows you're sweet and kind."

"Make me."

The guys let out a little scream and stepped back from me.

"Kelly do me a favor and warn griffin that Bella is back as a bad girl, and to send help."

I was sitting in a chair with my feet propped up on the sound board filling my nails not caring about what was going on.

We all walked into Gustavo's office while the boys where still prostrating about how they didn't want to go home.

"How do the winning demos get picked."

"Who cares how they get picked. I don't see how that will help you. If anything it's probably a monkey that picks it."

"You be quiet and go back to being nice."

"Hmmm let me think about that...no."

I looked over at the door and saw that it was my best friend Mercedes. I dropped the nail file and ran to her and gave her a hug.

"Mercedes!!! It's been too long. We need to hangout more often."

"I know, and I love that outfit on you. Is it the bar girl outfit?"

"You know me too well."

"Sweetie I hate to break it to you, but you scare people when you wear that. Please go change for me."

"Okay. But only because it's for you. Wait do you have an outfit for me, because I totally forgot to bring a spare one with me."

"Of course I do. I always carry a spare outfit incase you need it."

She handed me the outfit and I went to go change and when I came back I saw that they where gone so I called Mercedes and asked where she went and she told me that she was at the palm woods with the others.

When I got there I grabbed two smoothies one for me and one for Mercedes. I then made my way to the pool where I found Kendall fanning her with a giant leaf.

"Here you go bestie I got you your favorite smoothie here."

"Awww thank you so much. Bella I want you to meet my new boyfriend Kendall."

"We've met before, but I do love the fact that you can get any man that you want. I should introduce you to my boyfriend his name is James Diamond."

"Does he treat you like right."

"Yes he does. Although when the band first got here I was still dating Carlos, but that same day he arrived he broke up with me."

"Where is he, I have some words that I would like to exchange with him."

"Probably hiding from us."

"You'll be her friend right new boyfriend?" When Kendall didn't answer she turned around and gave him a look. "You hesitated. Maybe I'll hesitate to pick big time rush for the winning demos."

At first I was confused then she turned to me and gave me a wink and that wink said it all. I was so down to play along with her plan. Even though I get to pick the winning demos. But a few seconds later Carlos came running out ran in front of Mercedes.

"Why wouldn't he want to be her friend she's so nice and loving and has a good boyfriend."

"Wow it's like you know her. Your my new boyfriend. Come on Bella let's go."

I immediately got up from my chair and followed her up to the boys apartment while sipping on my smoothie. When we got there she told Carlos to make us cookies while we sit down and continue our talk.

"So how have you been Bella, I mean other than the breakup."

"Did I mention that he did it over the phone too."

"Oh no sweetie come here."

She held her arms open for me and she gave me a hug.

We pulled away from the hug and she looked me in the eyes.

"We need to get you a spa day, and a hair appointment, and get your nails done."

"You always have the best ways to cheer me up."

"Which is why we get along so well. Ugh, what is taking so long with those cookies new boyfriend. I need something to cheer up my best friend."

"Coming right up pooky"

Not even a second later I heard Carlos screaming from the kitchen. I couldn't help but laugh.

"You know there's this thing called an oven mitt right?"

A couple of seconds later Carlos came in with a pan of cookies. I went to grab one but Mercedes slapped my hand and told she would try it first to see if I would like them because she knows what I like.

She took a bite of the cookie then spit it back out and told Carlos that they where the worst cookies ever.

"Well, I'm not my grandma. I'm a hockey player."

"Maybe that's why they taste like hockey pucks."

"Can I try one?"

She grabbed one off the tray and handed it to me.

"You won't like it Bella."

I took a bite of the cookie and then spit it back out.

"What did you use to make these with?"

Carlos then ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I could hear muffled voices from the other side.

"I haven't tasted cookies that bad since that one time your dad tried to make us some to help us feel better."

"Is he talking to someone in there?"

"I don't know. Let's go find out."

We walked over to the bathroom door and I could here talking from the other side.

"Are you talking to shower people behind our backs."

"No Apple blossom."

I opened the the door and saw the whole gang in the shower.

"You lied to us, we're though. My new boyfriend is him. Let's go new boyfriend we're gonna dye your hair to match my purse."

Before he could protest I grabbed Logan by the arm and dragged him out of the bathroom.

A few seconds later Kendall came out of the bathroom looking all confident.

"What are you doing here old boyfriend?"

Kendall grabbed Logan from me and pushed him behind him.

"He's dumping you."

"What?!"

"Because you're spoiled, pushy, mean, and he and me and we would all rather go back to Minnesota than spend one more second pretending to be your boyfriend and your friend. God Bella I thought you where different, I can't believe I trusted you and quite frankly I can't believe James is dating you. It's no wonder Carlos dumped you in the first place."

Not going to lie Kendall's words hurt deeper than a knife. I just dropped my smoothie and ran out of the room before anyone could see me cry.

I wasn't very far from the boys apartment when I heard Mercedes tell them that she wouldn't pick there demos now, or at least I won't, I'm going to call griffin and tell him that I've decided to pick vampirah as the winning band.

"Bella!! Bella, wait!"

I turned around to Mercedes running after me. By this point tears where streaming down my face. Mercedes had her arms open for me and I ran into them.

"It's okay sweetie he didn't mean it he was just mad. Come on let's go back and tell them that Lolo picks the demos, so you still have time to decide if you wanna pick big time rush okay."

"Look I know we haven't dated that long, but I just came back to say... I'm sorry. But you guys should also be sorry Bella is my best friend and I would do anything for her and you made her cry."

"Mercedes we had a talk with Kendall about that and I have to say she's right you owe Bella an apology."

"Thanks Kelly that means a lot."

"Get her in here."

"If I get her you have to mean that you are sorry and not just say it to make her feel better."

"I know and I feel bad."

I heard Mercedes walk out the door and I looked over at her and she was holding out her hand for me to take. I grabbed her hand and we walked back inside and I saw the look on Kendall's face and I could tell that he feels for what he said to me.

"Bella I'm so sorry. I was just mad at Mercedes fir making us be her boyfriend and I shouldn't have taken it out on you. The truth is you are an amazing friend, you where nice to since day one, you helped us out even after Carlos dumped you. And quite frankly you scare me when you wear that bad girl outfit. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I care about you and I love you like you're my own sister. So I hope you can forgive me for the way I acted."

"I don't know Kendall what you said hurt me. I'm not going to forgive you right away but, maybe if you show that you mean it than I'll forgive you."

"Name your price Bella."

"I want a pink smoothie and every day in the mornings. And you have you bring one for James as well."

"Done. I can totally do that."

"Okay."

"Okay meaning?"

"Okay, as we'll see how this goes and then I'll forgive you."

"Okay, now how do the winning demos get picked."

"Well first, they are polished and shiny for the top secret music adviser, then a man with white gloves takes them to to an unmarked door at the end of the corridor and then lo-lo the hit predicting surgery chimp picks the winning demos. If he claps then you're in but if he makes a fart noise then you're out."

Then all at once they said "A monkey picks the winning demos?"

"No a chimp."

"What are you gonna do chimp nap lo-lo and train him to pick big time rush."

After we go back to the studio Kelly was shocked. "I was kidding."

After Logan went over the plan with the boys we started to play Big Time Rush music. And to my surprise Kelly was shocked that the plan was working but then lo-lo started throwing bananas at the boys.

"Well he ether really liked that song or really hated it."

When I looked back lo-lo was gone so I ran out of the room and started looking for him. When I found him I carried him back to the studio and I found griffin standing there with a look on his face.

"Bella where did you find him."

"Hitch hiking on the Hollywood free way."

"I'm very disappointed in you boys but I'm also carious what happened help me out."

"Griffin can I talk to you in the hall for a second."

"Sure."

When we got out where no one could hear us griffin turned to me and gave me a look.

"So Bella who's the winning bands demos."

"After the day I've had I wanted to pick vampirah but seeing as how the boys worked hard for each other today to stay here in LA I've decided to pick Big Time Rush."

"Alright let's go tell the boys that we talked to Lo-lo and tell them that their demos win."

"Alright."

We walked back in the room the boys had nervous looks on their faces.

"We talked to lo-lo and he decided that..."

"That what?!"

"Big Time Rush wins."

"Now get to work he need more songs for the Big Time Rush album."

"I've already got one. Move out."

After the boys finished the song I ran into the booth and James held his arms open for me to run into. And I did I ran and jumped into his arms and he spun me around.

"Oh my god you get to stay."

"Shhh baby don't cry, it's okay, I'm not going anywhere."

I didn't even realize I was crying until James said something.
