CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE Angelica resented having to wait at one side of the court almost as much as she hated being a prisoner at all. This was not the way the world was meant to work. She was supposed to be the one sitting on the throne, with people coming to her, seeking aid, declaring loyalty. It wasn’t meant to be Sophia.
