Oh Allah Help Me To Love You Right
Ya Rabb I fear of that Day when every man and jinn shall be asked
Of how we have spent our entire lives
I fear it now my Rabb, but I do know that I'll fear it more
When the trumpet has been blown for the coming of the Hour.
So I beseech You ya Allah to purify my heart, to polish my soul
For none can guide anyone except you, the Lord of All Worlds
So despite, the blessings I have received from your Mercy
I humble myself now and pray to make me submit in piety.
Oh Allah, Alhamdulillah. You love your creation and your are Oft - Forgiving
Oh Allah, Subhanallah. Only You can transform a dead heart to living
Oh Allah, Masha Allah. Whatever you will, it will as you are the Powerful
Oh Allah, Allahu Akbar. By Your Might, nothing is ever impossible.
I compel myself to love You Right
To be conscious of You day and night.
I urged myself to be steadfast in doing good deeds
To establish prayer, do zakat and serve my parents.
But my imperfections and my sins make me do istighfar
Almost every now and then, in a matter of seconds
I feel like I haven't have done much enough to gain your Love
Though I am aware that You already love all of us.
Oh Allah, I do not ask for wealth nor for a higher status
I just want a dedicated heart that does what it must
Oh Allah, I do not ask for a comfortable life on this Earth
Instead, I want to be a good Muslim example to others.
Ya Allah, I cannot fulfill any of my heart's desire
If it weren't by Your Permission, Will and Guidance
Thank You for granting me understanding of my deen
After saving me from where I have been.
Ya Allah, help me do my salah with kushoo
To utter words and mean them to be honest and true
Let me not be the loser who is deaf at the call for prayer
Let the Remembrance of You make me shed tears.
Ya Allah, help me to fast well on the month of Ramadhan
To watch my words, actions and intentions at hand
To be patient and kind regardless of how others act
To control my temper and never be at wrath.
Ya Allah please let my tongue be on guard
On constant supplication and invocation of you
So that I may never wayward on my purpose
To worship you in everything I do.
I want to love you right Ya Rabb
Because you are my Maker, Owner of my Life
But the free will YOU've given us make us sin sometimes
Thankfully, you love the sinful who makes tawbah every time.
I want to love you right Ya Rabb
Because you have given me so much
So much more than what I truly deserve
But I know part of the test are the things I've received.
I want to love you right Ya Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
I want to praise You for You are all worthy of all praises
But praising You and worshipping You means forbidding the wrong
And that would need an eeman so so strong.
And so Ya Allah help me, help me, help me
To wake up each morning and end each night thinking it'll be my last
To know that to You I will be brought back with certainty
Where my deeds will be held in my own accountability.
Ya Allah, there is no greater reward than seeing Your Face
Far more than being in Paradise with the Believers
So increase my knowledge Ya Allah and make me not lose my focus
Let me love You right by fulfilling my purpose.
You are Eternity, and this world is just temporary
Help me Ya Allah to not get lost in the pleasures of the Dunya
And that pleasing others and loving them should only be for Your sake
And that intention is the basis for our good deeds to be accepted.
I am a human and I err a lot ya Rabb
But your Forgiveness never runs out
As long as we keep track on the right path
By Your Mercy, I know it'll be enough.
Still, I pray everyday,
Oh ya Allah, help me.
Help me to love You Right. Ameen.
