CHAPTER SEVEN Mogaka was a village colonial informer who doubled as a catechist. He was one of those identified to benefit from the colonial rule. Although he was a devout and committed catechist, his baptizing was delayed because he was unable to recite the rosary, recite the ten ‘commandments’ and say the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ in spite of so many lessons. He had also married a seventh wife beside committing adulteries, which did not conform to the missionary teaching.
