Chief Mtwafy’s two daughters and his neighbor’s two daughters were terrified when the Arabs suddenly turned hostile, tied their hands with ropes, dragged and frog marched them roughly towards the camp.
As soon as the Arabs disappeared, Mtwafy was gripped with deep fear and uncertainty over the safety of his daughters. He contemplated pursuing the Arabs but he could not tell which way they had vanished. He was deeply disturbed and regretted his insatiable greed. How could he give away his youngest daughters to total strangers due to greed? He cursed his large pot belly which was the cause of his gluttony. He knew the worry and anxiety would persistently gnaw him and won’t leave him until the Arabs came back.
