After a while Levi finally enters the room.
“Is your mother well?" I ask him.
He nods and takes off his jacket and shoes.
“I gave her a pill and she fell asleep, she is stable."
I nod.
“That's a relief," I whisper.
I watch Levi pace back and forth across the room, leaving his watch, shirt and pants in place.
I walk over to him. I haven't taken off my clothes myself, except for my shoes.
“Tell me what that was all about," I ask him.
He curves his lips into a grimace.
“I asked you not to get out of the car," he states.
“And I decided that, whatever was happening, I would be better at your side," I answer, reminding him I am his wife, and not another member of his pack. “Now tell me, what happened in the living room?"
