Chapter 10 Craig Roberson listened to the voice on the other end of the phone, the receiver pressed tightly to his ear. “Then someone saw her?” Craig asked. “Yes,” Maggie answered. “We found a salesgirl who said she was in the dress shop and began to faint. Some guy, claiming to be her husband, said it was a diabetic insulin shock. He had her ‘medicine’ in his pocket. God knows what he gave her. The salesgirl said he almost carried her out of there.” But we’re no closer to finding her, Craig thought to himself. “At least someone remembers her being there. “Who’d want to kidnap her, Craig?” Maggie continued. “Did she know something someone would go through all this trouble to find out?” “She knew a lot of things, Maggie…A lot of things that could put a great many people in jeopardy.” C
