Chapter 12
Cam stood outside Dr. Adam’s office with Joseph. They had come out of Dr. Feingold’s office, then walked up a flight of stairs to get to this office. The sign on the outer office door read “Dr. Betrena Adams, M.D.”
Joseph pushed the door open to walk into the office. There was no one at the reception desk so Joseph pushed a button on the desk. A buzzer was heard throughout the offices. Then he led her into a small examining room. “Just sit down. Dr. Adams will be here in a minute. I’ll be outside.” He closed the door behind him. Cam looked around. This was like every other doctor’s office in the country. Its walls were white and the chair a bright color, even though they were always uncomfortable.
