Chapter 14
Now she sat in the common room looking down into a plate of meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. She was having a hard time convincing herself that she could eat it. She placed one forkful into her mouth and started to chew.
“Have you seen Wanda?” Eddie asked as he slid into the chair in front of her.
“No, why? What did she do?” Cam asked, not really caring.
“She hasn’t been out of her room all morning.” Eddie was more rational than before. He seemed to have calmed down a bit. He didn’t look as nervous as before.
“She’s probably just sleeping,” Cam said, taking another bite of the mac and cheese. God! This tasted too salty, too. Did the chef have a cold and couldn’t taste it?
