Robin Bishop and Nikki James sat in Maggie’s living room. Papers and photos were spread out in front of them. Maggie had just explained everything about them.
“These are both lesbians?” Robin asked, not believing what she was seeing. “They don’t look like it. I mean, this one does,” she said, pointing to Tuck, “but the other doesn’t.”
“Anyone can be anything. You know that, dear,” her grandmother told her, with a smile.
Nikki gave her lover a push with her elbow.
