Chapter 30
Craig entered the interrogation room where Stewart and a female FBI agent sat with Joyce. Stewart looked up and nodded at Craig, then went on with the questioning.
“I have nothing against Cameron Andrews,” Joyce was saying, “But it was a lot of money. My husband said we’d just work for two weeks and we’d have enough to get out of the country for a few years.”
“How did your husband know Sonya Hernandez?” the agent asked.
“I don’t know. She just got in touch with him one day. He met with her and she said we’d have a chance to get back at Ms. Andrews and Dr. Thomason. Julius has been wanting to get back at Dr. Thomason since she got his license revoked. Ms. Hernandez told us that if we helped her, we could go somewhere and disappear, you know, start over.”
