“Nice t-shirt, huh?” Alex told me when I walked back to the office premises.
“Leave me alone.” I groaned. I was so angry at myself for talking back at Brody and the last thing I wanted was to be in any trouble. I needed time to focus on my job and do a pretty good job about it.
“Where did you buy it? I can also go buy something as good as that so as to attract the boss. Isn’t that your plan?” Alex said with a weird smile plastered on his face.
“Leave me alone, okay. I am not doing this with you. Not today,” I mumbled before walking away.
“Brody will never make you his special person. Just know you are there for a reason and I am happy to say that the reason is not so good,” Alex said this to make me feel worse than what I was already feeling.
