After lunch I ran up to check on Rami again. He still looked the same, but his scent was different. He smelled foul because of the wounds. His skin was pale and sweaty, he was twitching, and I was not able to get contact with him. I felt my tears building up. I went over to him and kissed him on his forehead. He was burning hot, so I took a washing cloth and put it in the water bowl which was standing there with cold water. Then I twisted out the excess water and put it on his forehead.
