Chapter 7: At the mall

Rami was gone when I woke up the next morning. I rubbed my eyes and blinked. The room was quite big for a guest room, actually. An air condition cooled down the room to a comfortable temperature. I sat up, stretched and yawned. My watch showed 9.30 am. I got out of the bed and went to the closet. Someone had unpacked my things yesterday while we were eating. I picked a pair of knee-length denim shorts and a pink t-shirt with frills on the waist. I took them with me and went to the bathroom for a badly needed shower. In the bathroom I studied my naked body in the mirror. The bruises were smaller than the day before, but still sore to the touch. Oh, and there was a hickey on the neck close to the collar bone.
