THE days passed after that day and finally the school year already started. I woke up early to do my morning routine. I grab my bible and my rosary to pray and reflect. I prepare my food for my breakfast and for my lunch later on. I still think about the girl I met last time. I just realized that she will be my student for this year. I'm a bit nervous to meet her later. I don't know what I'm going to do later. “Mariah, just relax and pretend that you never met her,” I told myself and I breathe in and out to calm myself. “Good morning, Professor! How's your day?” The security guard greeted me the moment I entered the school gate. “Good morning!” I greeted back at her. I'm so happy to be back here in this university not to pursue my dream but to work on my first job. I walk elegantly with a serious look and I can feel the stares of the students around me. I can hear the loud noise coming from the room where my class now. But, when I enter they all turned like an angel and all I can hear is my heels. “Good morning,” I greated to them and I look around the room. I met the gazes of Zarnaih who is sitting at the last row and she just show her sweetest smile at me. “I am Mariah Villa and I'm the new Professor in this university. Today is our first meeting, get a whole sheet of paper and write your knowledge and expectations for my subject Social Work with Specific Clients,” they are already on their third year of college and a few years later they can finally take the licensure exam. These students are the most lucky and fortunate because they survive this program up until now. I'm a registered social worker and before I really wanted to pursue law school because I'm really interested everything about law. I want to help people who are deprived of liberty because of this rotten system where justice is for the rich people only. After a few minutes they're already done with their work. I called Zarnaih who is now ready to go out. “Zarnaih, collect the papers and bring it for me to my office,” I said to her before walking out. I leave the the door of my office open and Zarnaih comes in. She looks around at my office where it's still clean and no display or anything aside my table since I'm just new here. “Here's the paper Professor,” she gave the paper to me and I accidentally touch her hands again. I feel like their is a voltage the ran to my nerves. “Thank you Zarnaih, you can go now and take your lunch,” I said to her. She walk through the door but before she went out she whispered but I clearly heard it. “You're beautiful, Professor.” I don't notice that I'm now widely smiling because of what she said. I know that I'm beautiful but coming from her is like a privilege to be called beautiful. I shake my head and I get my lunch that I prepared for myself. I was busy eating and thinking about that girl again and I really don't understand why I feel we are already know each other. I feel comfortable and safe when I'm near her. My laptop's notification made me back to my conscious mind. @openaih: Happy lunch time, @Erasme! @openaih: I hope you're enjoying your meal as I enjoyed mine. @Erasme: Happy lunch time! Yes, I really enjoyed my lunch today. Openaih shared about her first day of school and she really enjoyed meeting new friends. I just don't know what year level she is right now and what is her school. What I just know about her is she's always there for me. I just met her on a secret website online where I can meet and talk to someone anonymously. At first it's just for fun for me and nothing serious but when I talked to her everything change. Her words of wisdom really helps me a lot and she always listen and understand me in everything. She let me feel that I have a friend where I don't have in reality. From the moment I moved away from my home where my family is and my friends I stopped myself to be attached to someone and show my trust again to them. I'm just tired of being betrayed by people I once love. The next day while I was waiting for a ride to my school. There is a Ferrari car stopped in front of me and the window slowly opened. “Hi, Professor! Come on just ride on me- I mean ride with me to university,” Zarnaih called my attention and she's the one who owned the car. I just can't stop thinking how rich she is for a student like her to afford this. “Thank you, Zarnaih! But no worries I can commute,” I said to her ignoring her offer because I don't want other people will see us. Zarnaih come down from her car and she grab my hand and bring me to her car. Her car is so cool her chairs are covered with leather but it's so soft and clean. Her sweet scent is lingering around her car. Zarnaih is just silent and she's focus on driving her car. She drive so smoothly and I can't even feel that we are moving. When we arrive at the university I immediately get down from her car. She get her things before walking with me to the hall way. “Thank you Zarnaih for the ride!” I thanked to her. She just smiled and she get my bag and she's the one who brings my bag. I feel shy inside because of the stares of the students around us but I just keep on calming myself pretend that my nerves are not shaking. I know that she's just doing this because I'm her professor but I can't stop myself from feeling this kind of emotion I keep escaping.
