ARLO’S POV
I hear that Hazel assaulted Luna, and I about lose control right then and there. Flint and I both warring with whatever power that be that causes us to lose control of our shifts. It takes a good amount of time in order for us to finally be able to talk again and I just know I’ve ruined this date. I make a note to myself and Flint to ask Hazel for a second chance. As the night winds down, I am able to at least talk to her and she suddenly takes me away from the crowd walking us back to the mountains in the distance. We break the crest of the small mountain and I let out an audible gasp as a lake comes into view. We sit on the blanket and in silence stare across the lake watching the moon’s reflection play across the surface.
