Lilian's POV
As I sit down, I feel all eyes staring at me. I couldn't even get my food before and now I would rather die than stand up.
Hell, even the lunch ladies are staring at me.
Suddenly, someone passed me food. I looked over and saw it was Matteo.
"Eat up."
I nodded and began eating but I couldn't stop myself from asking.
"Aren't you curious about the video?"
"We know you wouldn't say something like that so what's there to be curious about." Matteo said and I let out a sigh of relief.
"But what I wanna know is why were you hanging out with Darius."
I stopped eating and looked over to see him staring at me like he's looking into my soul.
"Jealous Matteo is scary," Roxy said and I agreed with her.
"Well, I was dancing, then I stopped cause I was tired and sat down to draw. He called out for me two seconds later and sat down too. We were talking and you know the rest of the conversation."
"That's....a lame ass excuse," I looked over at Romeo and glared at him.
"It's true and plus he's not that bad so why do you guys hate him?"
"You stupid human, Is the word 'shut up' in your dictionary?"
'shut up Roxy.'
"Really?" I look at both of them and their eyes turned dark.
"What I meant was-" they didn't listen to me as both of them stood up and left the cafeteria.
"Wha- are they bots. How can they have the idea to do things at the same time?" I sighed and took Romeo's unfinished rice.
Soon Gab came to me with a "spill" look.
"What?" for some reason I'm so annoyed.
"Girl what happened between y'all?"
"Gab, you're the one who always know all the gossips. Why does the guys hate the Darius and Santiago?"
She sighs and looks at me.
"Well, I don't know if it's true but I heard that during middle school, all four of them were best friends and the twins um... fell in in love with this girl."
She looked at me for a reaction but when I gave none, she continued.
"You know at that time, the twins lost their parents but she was always there to comfort then and you know they kinda started liking her. Everyone knew and people always shipped them until Darius and Santiago uh kinda stole her from them and they fought and became enemies."
I bit my lip out of frustration.
"Lilian say something."
"So they got mad at me because of their ex lover?"
"No, I mean we don't know if it's true or not."
She tried to cheer me up but I'm not buying it.
"Plus maybe they don't want you to get closer to them so the other twins would not do the same thing to you."
"So they don't trust me."
"No what- i mean they trusted her too."
"You're not helping."
"I know, I'm sorry."
She kept quiet and I sighed. I know it's not her fault. I'm just angry tbh. (a/n: tbh- to be honest)
"Gab..."
"hmm..."
"I'm sorry."
"It's all good sweetie."
The bell rang and like that, lunch was over.

School went by fast and I thank God that it did cause the guys didn't even talk to me.
All that was on my mind was what Gab told me.
Should I ask them about it.
ugh.
I put my stuff in my locker and slam it shut only to come face to face with Rosa.
"What do you want?"
"I heard that the guys are mad at you. Let me talk to them for you. I know they'll listen to me."
"Rosa, I appreciate your concern but this is between my mates and I so I suggest you back off. Couples fighting is a normal thing so there's no need for you to help me."
"Oh, I was just worried about you."
"Oh drop the act Rosa, who do you think you can fool. I know it was you who uploaded that video."
"Lilian, how can you say that. I never uploaded the video. I was actually digging for clues to find the person so I can tell them to take it down."
"Rosa I'm not stupid. Stay away from me and my mates. This will be the last warning," with that I walk away from her.
Ugh, today is not my day.
I step out of the building only to see the guys waiting for me. Once they see me, they motion for me to get in but I ignore them and go over to Gab.
"Hmph, you ignore me for a day and now you want me to ride with you. No way."
I see them roll their eyes and I practically hear them calling me childish.
I get in her car and she sighs, "those guys have practically turned you into a child."
"Shut up and drive."
"Do you think I'm your chauffeur. I'm supposed to go with Victor righ-"
"Just drive."
"Fine. I'm doing this only cause I love you."
She starts the car and zoom off.
The drive back home consisted of me talking and talking about my mates and how annoyed I am at them but tbh I found myself rambling at how perfect they are too.
"I mean-"
"OKAY I'M DONE. Lilian you've been rambling for 20 minutes about how great they are. I understand."
"I've also been talking about how annoying they are."
"Lilian, babe you've been saying more good than bad."
"Really." i took a sip of the water she gave me.
"Yes, just admit it. You're in love with them." I almost choked on my water as I started coughing.
"Gab, what are you saying. Of course I love them, they're my mates."
"No, no. You don't understand. You love love them."
"Huh?"
"I'm saying. If the mate bond isn't there, you would still be in love with them. Lilian I can see it in your eyes that you love them with or without the mate bond."
"How can you see it?"
She looks at me and smiles,
"Well for starters, as you're talking about them, whether it's how annoying they are or how perfect (nobody's perfect. I just wanted to use that word) they are, I could see the love in your eyes, I could see how much you really care for them. I may not know much about love but baby, I know for sure , that you're love them but there's something that's holding you back."
"There's nothing holding me back."
"Baby, it's just us. Be honest with me."
"I'm serious."
"Then why haven't you told them how you feel?"
"Cause...cause-"
"Baby, be honest with me or I'm dropping you here."
"Cause-"
"Cause what?"
"Cause I'm scared... I'm scared Gab. You've saw how my past relationship was... everything was going well until I popped the 'I love you' word and he just dumped me like a used condom."
"Baby, this time it's different. They are your soulmates and I'm pretty sure they love you more than anything."
"How do you know that?"
"Because they've been tailing me since we left school." i turn around and sure enough, it was the guys car.
