Chapter 7: “You’re such a meanie.”

I’m actually super thankful that many of you enjoy this story. That makes me want to improve on each chapter. I’m extremely sorry that it took so much time but it’s just that I don’t want to write fast just so I can upload chapter faster. I want to write something meaningful for all of you and for my story to make sense LOL. I really hope you enjoy this chapter that has taken me forever to upload. Last night was perfect, I met my mate. I’ve been waiting for that day for what feels like forever. She’s perfect and for that I’m so thankful to the Moon Goddess. I’ve been blessed with a mate. Some werewolves meet their mate late or just never met them so that makes me a lucky one. At one point I thought this will never happen, that’s how discourage I was but not anymore. 

In a week I have a meeting with the council to talk about this matter. I need to inform them that I’ve found my mate and that she’s a human. It makes me nervous. I don’t know how they will react to that. The majority of the members of the council are older werewolves and that makes them stick to their old fashion laws and ways. Through out the years many things have changed in our world. Before, werewolves didn’t really get involved with humans just to stick with our kind. The laws were extremely strict back then and now many things are way different which makes things less suffocating for us. I’m sure some will be surprise with the news of my mate being a human and some may not be happy with that. 

I know that I will do everything in my power to have my mate by my side. I will be honest I didn’t expect at all that my mate will be a human since it’s never been seen before for an Alpha or a beta to have human mate. I don’t see anything wrong with it but I know the council won’t be super happy about it. My beautiful mate will be the first one and that makes my heart beat fast. 

They will probably speculate that this is a plot against me and my pack. I know some packs use dark magic to get what they want. They offer witches a roof and some protection so they could use them for dark purposes. Unfortunately, a long time ago witches were chased for their magic but I know that not all of them are bad. That’s one of the reasons they do that to protect themselves by being in a pack.

I honestly don’t care if the council is against our mate bound because I know I have the support of many. I only want my mate to be okay.

I’m heading to the packhouse when an amazing scent hits me. It’s hers! Her scent that drives me crazy. She smells like roses, it’s perfect. She is perfect. 

I am excited to see my mate. Luke wasn’t happy that our mate didn’t stay with us last night. He didn’t want us to be separate from our mate but I made him understand it’s for the best. I don’t want to pressure her into this. I want to take things slow so she feels comfortable and safe with me.

Not that far from the packhouse another scent hits me and then at the entrance of the pack house, I see my mate talking and laughing with Jackson. That makes Luke want to take over to rip his head. Not being able to control my anger I let out a loud growl that startles my mate and makes Jackson turns his head in my direction. I give him a “stay away for my mate” look and he seems to understand because he takes a step away from my mate. Maya turns to look at me and then looks back at Jackson. Her action makes me let out another growl. She then turns to me again and in her eyes I see it, confusion. She doesn't understand what’s going on. 

I start to approach them and that seems to make Maya understand what is happening because she walk up to me and put her hand on my chest to stop me from going further. That makes me calm down instantly. I look down to directly look at her eyes and I thought she will be scared but I didn’t saw any fear in her eyes. She is actually giving me a caring look and that makes Luke purr. 

“You’re such a softie.” Lukes laugh at me. 

“Who are you calling that, I’m a strong wolf. I’m an Alpha.” I respond to him.

“Haha what a strong Alpha you are.”

“Oh shut up! You’re the biggest softie out of us.”

“Aiden, are you okay?” That gets me out of my trace. I look at my beautiful mate that seems concern. 

“Yes I am. Sorry I didn’t mean to ignore you I was just...whatever is was nothing.”

Some strand of hair is on her face so I push them out of her face and that makes her blush. I love when she blushes it’s just so cute. How can my mate be this adorable. 

“Aiden I know it may seem like something else but I swear I didn’t intend to do anything to upset you so whatever I did I’m really sorry.” She looks up to me with those adorable blue eyes of hers. 

“Hey I wasn’t mad at you. It’s just that Luke didn’t like watching our mate being with another man. That made him furious, nothings is your fault okay? I don’t want you to think that I’m mad with you, it’s just that I don’t want to see you with somebody else I know it sounds extremely possessive but that’s how we are and me being an Alpha makes it even worst. I’m sorry if I made you feel like you did something wrong because you didn’t.” 

“Luke?” She ask me with a questioning look. 

“Oh yeah sorry, it’s my wolf, his name is Luke.”

“Oh really? You can talk with your wolf? How is that?” 

“Yes I can. For us it’s kind of like having a person at the back of our mind watching what we are doing, talking to us and your wolf can take over if it feels that I’m in danger or that danger is around.” I tell her trying to explain it as best as I can. 

Her eyes widening at my answer. “What? Oh my god! That’s great! What colour is your wolf?”  

“He is black.” I answer.

“Does he like me?” She ask me with red cheeks. My mate is the cutest. I’m so whipped. 

”Yes you are.”

“Oh shut up Luke you’re the same if not worse.”

“I’m not.”

“Aiden!” Screams my mate make me jump. 

“What? Were you talking to me?” 

“I’ve called you like 5 times and you still were not listening to me.” My beautiful mate says with a pout on her juicy lips. Oh how I would love to kiss those lips at this moment but I don’t want to scare her. 

“I’m sorry it’s just that Luke was talking to me.” 

“Really?! What were you talking about?” I really don’t want my mate to know what we were talking about. It’s too embarrassing. 

“Nothing important.” I give her a smile, hopefully she doesn’t ask me more about it.

“Okay! Should we go inside? Catherine is actually waiting for me.” She give me a beautiful smile that makes me smile even bigger. 

“Sure let’s go!” I take her hand in mine and guide her towards the packhouse. Her hand feels so right in mine, it fits perfectly. 

The moment we pass the entrance Catherine greets us. “Hey! You’re here. Good afternoon Alpha Aiden!” 

“Good afternoon Catherine!” I give her a small smile. 

Catherine turns to look at my mate. ”I see you were busy that’s why you didn’t came earlier.” She says with a smirk on her face. 

“Catherine!” My mate exclaim with a red face probably embarrassed from what Catherine just said. My mate is the cutest. Before I realizing I lean to give my mate a kiss on the check. That makes her turn even more red than she already was. She turns to look at me with widen eyes.  

“Aiden!” She blushes even more. Can my mate get any cuter. I give her a big hug to try to make her less embarrassed. “Hey, it’s okay.” I laugh at her cuteness. “Okay Catherine let’s stop the teasing.” I tell Catherine with a serious tone.

“Look at you Alpha getting all protective of your mate.” Catherine tease me. Let's see if with this she will keep teasing us.

I look at Catherine directly in this eyes with a stern face. “Catherine is that a way to talk to your Alpha?” I say with a serious tone, hopefully convincing others that I’m mad. Catherine pales at the tone of my voice. Others are watching the exchange not really knowing what to do. This is enough proof to know that I was somewhat convincing. 

She tilt her neck, a sign of respect, to show me that she didn’t meant to disrespect me. “I’m sorry Alpha, it won’t happen again.” She says in a small voice, that make me smile because that means I totally got her. I start laughing making everyone look at me shocked. 

“I got you all!” I look at Catherine and there I see it in her face, she realizes that she’s been fooled. 

“Aiden! You’re so mean! I was about to s**t in my pants.” She exhales so loudly that probably the whole room heard it. 

“Sorry I had too. Okay everyone let’s have lunch!” I say making everyone sight in relief. I turn to look at my mate seeing that she is watching me with a confuse face. 

“Why did you do that? You got all of us scared.” She taps my arms showing me that she’s not happy with what I did. 

“It was just a joke, love.” She blushed at my words and give my arms a tap again. 

“Stop it!” She tries to make a serious face to show me that she is not happy with the teasing. “Okay, okay! I’m sorry but I’m not apologizing for calling you love.” I smile at her trying not to make her feel even more shy then she already was. 

“You’re such a meanie.” 

A/N: This story is far from being over! Each time at the end of a new chapter there is a review section but that doesn’t mean that my story is over it’s just there and that is something I can’t control. I really appreciate the review but don’t feel obligate to review my story just because it’s there. 

I’m writing this because many of you have written that the story is way too short and that it should have much more to it. The book is not done! Haha.
