I transport to the outside of Sarah’s house, using the ancient tree on her property as the barrier to any passerby or neighbours’ prying eyes. As is usual for this time, the driveway is empty; her parents are still at work, leaving Sarah home alone for the surprise visit. Home was boring, and Grandmother was aiming to show me something—I hadn’t even paid attention to what. Ever since I asked her to empower me, she seems to take everything one step too far, and sometimes, it takes away from my time to spend with Sarah. So, I designed my own activity and stride forward to Sarah’s red front door and knock loudly. No answer. She’s always home at this time though. I knock again, louder. Still no response. This time, it seems she truly isn’t home. I turn away, making my tree my destination
