When I came to, I found myself in the passenger seat of a speeding van driving across a field of flowers.
I have been here before, although not in a car, but rather in a previous dream, I went down a sewer hole, and before I climbed all the way down, the ladder lost its material function, and I fell slipping towards the darkness, and then, with the suddenness of all dreams, found myself in this field of flowers.
It was a plain that always varies in vastness, for sometimes it can stretch far towards the horizon, and sometimes, I would see another structure which would distract me towards it. The sort of flowers which would also grow here varies as well. Last time, it was a field of sunflowers and daisies. Today, there was a huge field of tulips, the sort I have only seen in pictures of Holland. And this plains is the large one.
I need not say this time that I do have some control of my dreams from years of experience. I wouldn't have lucid dreams most of the time, but these days I have enough of a consciousness to still have a semblance of choice within. That being said, it is the hazy sort of control wherein you feel you have free will, but ultimately, it is this dreamscape which calls all the shots. No matter what concentration I have, it is simply that in dreams I have no autonomy.
Anyways, as I have said, I was in the passenger seat of a van driving through a field of tulips. The driver had a face that looked as if all of his features were wiped to one side, so that his mouth was one distorted red line, and his eyes combine into one black line.
He never once looked at the road, as he kept looking at me, but because his face was distorted like described, I couldn't tell what he is feeling, much less what he is saying. Sounds are coming out of his mouth, and yet, it felt like the combinations of an echo, distortion, reverb, and a distinct accent, which, while I felt I could understand as English, I couldn't tell you what it was.
I soon began to look out the window to look at the tulips, and I thought it cool how it looks as if the tulips were gradually changing color, that from red tulips it seemed to get warmer towards orange. In fact, it felt like it was going through the rainbow colors, as in the distance of what I can see, I saw blue tulips, bluer than the oceans.
There was a golden flowing thing among those blue tulips. How distinctive it seemed among those melancholic flora. Immediately I forgot I was in a van, and I opened the passenger door, and walked out as if it were a normal stationary door, and glided myself from the yellow and green tulips, and soon found myself with what I found to be the golden hair of a woman that is new among my dream accounts.
She, other than the distinctive golden hair, wore a black, one piece dress which seemed to accent her thin, lovely, innocent body, and the wind fluttered both her hair and the dress, only revealing lips, red with lipstick, and seductive almost, but clearly the sort of smirk which comes from pure confidence.
"You've never met a woman before?"
Her voice, delightful as music, but also something that I couldn't explain but feels like a sort of mischievousness, hit not my ears I felt but rather my chest so that it felt like it stopped for a moment. With much difficulty I answered,
"I have, but..."
I hesitated to reason why I was frozen among the tulips, and after a while she giggled like how a canary would sing in moments of inspiration.
"Flustered, are you? You should be. Why, I have catched all the eyes of the men of Sonnilo, and you, my kind Sir, are no exception."
Wistfully, she approaches me, and I hear no footsteps, except for the tulips making way for her black dress. Once she does (I can still only see her red lips, as the rest of her face was obscured by the golden hair blowing in the wind), she looked at me for a while, then, her pale, clean, and lovely hand, slowly made its way towards my cheek, as she said,
"You are rather fun, are you? Your eyes seem manic. But..."
It didn't finish, for before she could finish her sentence, or even touch me, the blue tulips, which I didn't notice had begun to wrap around my leg, had completely wrapped around my entire body, so that only my eyes remain, and when it completely surrounded me, it led me to a completely different setting, which lacks any importance to the current narrative, so let us end the entry here and skip to the next part where I awake from it all.
