Twilight And Rain

It's Saturday today, Which means I am off from working at the publishing company, but it doesn't mean I am off at the brunch cafe'. Saturday is a busy day, where costumers Are twice crowded than weekdays.
I love Saturday, as I can meet more people than usual. There is an old couple that always comes to the cafe on Saturday. They said they met for the first time at this cafe when they were 20's and they got married after a few dates in this cafe. They always call me sweety, They said I looked like their granddaughter. There is one time I ask them their secret of a happy relationship that lasts long.
"Honesty, space and trust are the keys to make your love last." How sweet. They make me believe in true love.
I was cleaning the table when I suddenly got goosebumps, Someone is whispering my name in my ear
"Good morning, Nora!"
"Gosh!" I jump and almost trow my cleaning cloth
"haha, are you okay?"
"Joshua! you scared me.''
Joshua is coming to take me out for lunch as we both not working today.
We are going to Abreeza mall and had lunch at a Japanese restaurant. Joshua had sashimi while I had my favourite beef ramen. Then we go to a movie.
"That's a really good movie right, Josh."
"Agree with you, Nora."
" I love how Hugh Jackman plays his rules a father and a leader."
" I like the love story of Zendaya and Zac Efron, they are so sweet."
"right Josh."
" Shall we go to the beach and watch the sunset."
"What?? you ask me for that? of course, yes!"
with excitement we both head of to the nearby beach to watch the sunset.
we both sit on the sand on the beach.
" so your brothers are in Manila?"
" Not all, Other in Iloilo and other is in Cebu"
"I see"
" How about you Josh? do you have siblings?"
"No, I am the only child in my family.''
"wow, you are so lucky. how does it feel to be the only child in the family?"
"boring"
"what, haha. doesn't it feel good? you can get what you want. No one will bother, no one will feel jealous."
"Nah, not that good. no one to fight with haha"
"haha...Joshua. You are funny. people are dreaming to be the only child in the family. but you feel it boring"
"yeah because I saw my friends have lots of sibling in looks fun, they fight and they love and they protect each other, doesn't your brother do that to you, Nora?''
with a big smile, I answer '' Not really"
Twilight started to appear at the horizon. The golden sun is about to depart and hide from the world. We both silent and enjoying the beauty of colourful twilight along with the wind that softly touches our cheek and blows our hair. I closed my eyes and enjoy the breeze.
I just realise that Joshua is staring at me, I am blushing and surprise when I open my eyes
"Joshua..." I raise my eyebrows as Joshua doesn't seem blinking his eyes. I tried to wave my hand over his face. "Joshua..."
He answers me with his poisonous smile that can kill me anytime.
" You like twilight, Nora''
"I love it, Josh, I don't know how and why but sunset taught me the beauty in goodbye. how the sun saying goodbye to the world is magnificent.''
we stare at each other eyes and fall in silent, I guess we admire each other, but honestly, I admire him so much. His eyebrows, his smile and his dimple are to die for.
The sun is started to disappear the sky turn in to the dark grey the sound of the wave is getting lauder, suddenly I feel droplet of water on my cheek woke me up from dreaming.
"It's raining Josh!"
"Shiit.. lets run and find shelter."
we run and try to find shelter as the rain is getting heavier.
The nearest shelter is about 400m from us. it's in front of a convenient store.
we both wet and sweat and laugh.
we buy an umbrella and head to the bus stop under one umbrella. my heartbeat so fast as Joshua grab my shoulder and put me in his arm to make sure I don't get wetter from the rain.
"It was a great day, Nora. thank you so much."
" No, I thank you, Josh."
'' Do you want to go to my apartment, and change your dress? I can lend you my Tshirt if you want"
" That's a great idea, but I have to be home soon. My dress is not that wet Mom is waiting for me."
"Okay then."
''O s**t!"
"what happened?"
"I forgot, Mom, ask me to buy some cake ingredient."
"I will go with you"
"really?"
"yeah"
we head to the baking supply store and get some vanilla essence, food colouring, chocolate bars and couples of baking paper for my mom's bakery.
Joshua still with me until I finished shopping.
"shall we get some steamed bun for us?'' Joshua offers to get some steamed buns, I guess he is hungry.
" Sure why not."
cold weather with freshly steamed buns is the perfect match.
I had my favourite chocolate steam bun while he had meat buns from the street vendor in front of the bakery supply store.
we joke and we talk a lot while waiting for my bus to arrive.
"See you at work tomorrow, Joshua."
''See you, Nora . have a great evening. call me when you got home"
''sure, Josh. will do''
I smile and wave him goodbye. And run to my bus as it's arriving before I enter the bus, Joshua grab my right wrist
"Nora wait"
" Yes, Josh''
I turn to him and he kisses me on my forehead. I get shocked by the touch of his lips on my forehead, so soft and warm. The wold is stopping for a moment until the bus captain presses the honk, I quickly run into the bus and take a seat near the window. I can't believe he kissed me, my heart keeps beating faster. I look at him from the window bus, he smiles at me and waves me goodbye.
I felt like dreaming today. Joshua is not just handsome but kind and romantic.
