Maya’s POV The other side of the bed was colder than usually when I placed my hand on it as I slowly woke up. It meant that Alex had gotten up and had left me alone in bed for quite a while now. I opened my eyes and sat up, resting my head against the headboard. I looked around the room and realized that I was still in his room, usually he carried me back to my room whenever I slept off but I guess last night was different. This had slowly become a routine for us, we would go to bed together and I would wake up alone, like I was a discarded piece of trash. Most times, I used to feel disappointed whenever I woke up alone, but this morning, I felt none of that.
