Maya’s POV
I woke up from my deep but much needed sleep slowly, my body felt heavy but warm and I felt much better. My eyes were still heavy and my muscles tense as I slowly opened my eyes. The room’s light were turned off save for my bedside lamp and the moonlight streamed in through the window.
I sat up and turned to look at the time on the stopwatch by my bedside. The bright and red numbers blinked and I saw that it was just twenty nine minutes from eight pm and my eyes widened in shock, making me realize I had slept through lunch and dinner.
I raised my hands to my eyes and rubbed on them gently, I rested my head against the headboard but I froze in place when I heard a voice from the other side of the room, startling me.
