Alexander’s POV
A sharp knock at the door interrupted my teasing exchange with Maya. My jaw clenched as I turned to face it, irritation flaring. Who the f**k thinks it is a good idea to be disturbing me right now?
For a few minutes, I stood in front of the bathroom door, debating whether I should go check who it was or not but the sound of the knock only got louder. I let out a groan before kissing my teeth and making my way to the door, I swore to myself that I was going to deal with whoever was on the other side of the door and they would regret coming to disturb me and pulling me away from my wife.
When I opened the door, standing there was one of my high ranking officers. He had a from expression on his face and urgency written all over him. “Boss, we have got an emergency.”
