Maya’s POV
I woke up the bright light streaming in through the curtains reflecting on my face and I couldn’t help but squint at how bright the light was. I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes and trying to rid the remnants of sleep from my body.
I stood and stretched while letting out a yawn. I turned back to look at the bed, escorting to see Alexander just like he had promised but I was met with an empty and cold bed which was an indication that it had been quite a while since he had left the room.
I couldn’t help but feel disappointed, it coursed through my vein and I was left feeling sad about the situation. So much for his promise to be here when I wake, he’s nothing but a liar.
A sexy liar, a voice in my head said and I rolled my eyes, pushing the thoughts away.
