After they all had dinner, Felix and Mercedes excused themselves to go on their run as planned. While they were in the garden, Felix asked Mercedes to go for a run in wolf form. She was reluctant at first since she only transformed once under duress, but Felix convinced her that he would show her how to do it. So she agreed and that is what they were going to do. Felix grabbed an overnight backpack with blankets and some snacks. Mercedes was confused as to what it was for and Felix told her that they would not return until morning.
