*Nova’s P.O.V.*       After Kane’s parents left, I wracked my brain to figure out which of my pups already had a mate, and who it was. I thought about all the new pups that had been born recently.     And then it dawned on me. Caisson has been drawn to Aileya since even before she gave birth. Ever since Lyra was born, he has been really drawn to her and not Aileya.     “Kane,” I said once I pieced it together.     “Yes, angel?”     “Lyra,” was all I said, and he gasped.     “You’re right, he has been really drawn to her, even before she was born. Whenever they’re in close proximity, he cries until he’s next to her,” he said, staring down at Caisson, or Case as we’ve begun to call him.     We went and laid the twins down and not even five minutes later, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find Jax and Aileya standing there with wide eyes, with Lyra is Aileya’s arms asleep.     “What’s wrong?” I asked, worried.     “The… the Moon… I mean Selene just came to us and told us to take care of the future Luna. Is it true?”     “She came to us and said one of the twins’ mates was already born. We thought it might be Lyra, because Case was attached to you when you were pregnant with her, and that shifted once she was born. I guess she just confirmed our theory,” I answered.     “Woah, that’s… woah.”     I just nodded my head in agreement. Then, I heard, “Lee-a,” come from the nursery.     “I guess he sensed her,” Kane said and went into the nursery, bringing Caisson out with him. “Who is that Case?”     “Lee-a.” He reached for Lyra and Jax took him so he could be near her.     “That’s right, it is Lyra.”     “He can talk now?” Aileya asked.     I nodded. “Case, who am I?” I asked him.     “Mama.”     “Say Grandpa.”     “Geh-pa.”     “And Grandma?”     “Geh-ma.”     “Wow.”     “He just started talking today. Kiya has a higher vocabulary than him already. He says again, too.”     “Gen.”     “Six months old and talking, crawling, and pulling himself up to stand. Damn, he’s a future Alpha alright,” Aileya said.     Caisson furrowed his brows at Lyra and then looked at me.     “Ba… ba,” he said.     “Oh, you want another bottle? Well since you asked…” I said as Kane went to the counter to prepare the bottle.     “Baba,” came Kiya’s voice from the nursery so I went to get her and found her on the floor.     “Kiya!” I exclaimed and she just smiled up at me. “No, you can’t do that,” I scold, and she pouts. “No, that’s not gonna work on me. No more,” I tell her, and her face fell.     “Baba,” she says again.     “Okay, okay, let’s get you a bottle,” I say and pick her up, taking her to the kitchen where Kane was now making her bottle. He finishes it up and hands it to her and she takes it and starts drinking it with gusto.     “It’s like they didn’t just have a bottle!” I exclaim and laugh.     “Case, come here buddy. It’s time for bed,” Kane says, taking Caisson who had finished his bottle already. He leaves the room and goes to the nursery and Caisson starts crying.     “Lee-a!” he cries.     “Lee-a,” Kiya repeats before going back to her bottle.     “That’s right baby, that’s Lyra,” I say, pointing to Lyra. Kiya finished her bottle, so I say goodnight to Jax and Aileya and head to the nursery to rock Kiya to sleep. After changing her and rocking her, she falls asleep within the first five minutes, while Caisson is still crying for Lyra, but his eyes keep fluttering shut, and he soon falls asleep, too.     Kane and I put them in their cribs and leave the room, shutting the door behind us. I yawn and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then I sit on the bed and pump until I’m dry, then go to sleep. *SIX MONTHS LATER* *Nova’s P.O.V.*       Today was the twins’ first birthday. They started pointing at objects and people at 7 months and learned to distinguish different shapes and were able to put shapes into their correct corresponding hole in their shape sorters.     They were both now walking; Caisson had started at 9 months, and Kiya started at 10 months. They also had a large vocabulary already, and their pronunciation of words was almost perfect.     They loved music and even dance to it already and even started eating regular foods early. They refused baby food, so we began feeding them cooked foods, and they took to it well. They had grown so fast that they were almost into 2T sized clothing.     There were tons of presents from all of the packhouse residents and even some from random pack members. I had a notepad and pen and Brielle had volunteered to keep track of who got what for them so I could write thank you notes on their behalf.     The party was scheduled for 2:00 P.M., after their morning nap. Right now, it was 1:15, and I was currently bathing the twins after their messy lunch of spaghetti. After they had their fun playing with the water and bath toys, I took them out and Kane dried Caisson while I dried off Kiya.     After they were dried off and Kiya’s hair was fixed into braided pigtails, we began getting them dressed. Caisson was wearing a silver suit with a teal baby tie, and Kiya was wearing a teal and silver dress. After they were dressed, we allowed them to play in their room while we quickly got ready.     I quickly did my hair into a braided ponytail and was wearing a similar dress to Kiya’s, and Kane was wearing his silver suit with a teal tie like Caisson.     “It’s time,” I sighed. I was excited for them to be one year old, but also saddened because, well, where had my babies gone?!     Kane took Caisson’s hand while I took Kiya’s, and we walked to the elevator down the hall and rode it all the way down to the main floor. Then we walked to the stairs where Kylie was waiting for pictures because since she had stepped down as Luna, she had really gotten into photography.     Kylie did a ton of pictures of different poses: sitting, standing, Kane and I kissing while holding the twins’, switching twins and repeat all the positions. Then she did some of just the twins sitting on the stairs holding hands and then hugging.     Then it was time to head outside to the courtyard for the party to begin. We let the twins lead the way, and when they saw the huge stack of presents on one of the tables, they both took off running.     Kane and I burst into laughter. The twins stopped at the table and gazed at it in awe.     “For us?” Caisson asked, and I nodded.     “Yes, my babies, today is your birthday,” I told them.     Then Kiya turned to the left and saw the smash birthday cakes and squealed, “Cake!”     “Go play until everyone gets here, babies,” I told them, and they took off running after each other, squealing with delight.     Gunther and Brielle were here, so they started playing with Jalen, who had just started crawling. Then Caisson froze and sniffed the air before turning and running up to Jax and Aileya who had Lyra and had just arrived.     “Lyra!” Caisson cried happily, and Jax laid out a blanket and Aileya set Lyra on it. Caisson instantly started playing and babbling to her.     “Case!” Kiya cried, but he ignored her and kept his attention on Lyra.     Once everyone seemed to be in attendance, I called the twins back over to Kane and me. “Babies, you ready?” I asked them, and they nodded enthusiastically.     Kylie was recording and Kane lit the single candle on each cake, bringing them in front of the twins, and we began singing “Happy Birthday” to them. They were grinning and giggling the whole time.     “Okay babies, make a wish and blow out your candle,” I told them. Kiya squinted her eyes shut for a moment before trying to blow out her candle. I assisted her while Kane did the same with Caisson. Once the candles were out, we removed them and moved the cakes away for later.     “Are you ready for presents?” Kane asked them, and they nodded frantically. Brielle picked up the pad and paper while Kaiden began to bring presents to each baby… well, I guess they’re toddlers now, but they will always be my babies.     Kaiden handed each of the twins a present and they began tearing the wrapping paper off.     “What dis?” Caisson asked, holding up his present.     “That is a puzzle, Case.”     “What dis?” Kiya asked, holding out her present.     “That, my dear Kiya, is a xylophone.”     This went on for about an hour and a half with each present they opened. They got an assortment of new toys and of course, some clothes. Brielle was amazing at keeping track of what was from who.     Then it was time to strip the twins down to their diapers for the smash cakes. We had a backdrop set up with wolves howling at the full moon on it. There were teal and silver balloons on each side and a banner that read “HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY” across the top of the backdrop.     We set the twins down on the blanket in front of the backdrop and set a cake in front of each of them. They both looked up at Kane and me.     “Go ahead, eat your cake,” I encouraged them, and that was all they needed to reach down with their hands and dig in, each grabbing a fistful of cake and shoving it in their mouths.     They got cake everywhere, and everyone began cheering them on. They ate as much as they could before stopping. Both of them had cake all over themselves from head to toe.     Kane and I put on robes. “Alright everyone, that marks the end of this birthday party!” I exclaimed as Kane and I grabbed the twins to go give them another bath.     Brielle came over to hand me the gift list and I thanked her, looking in her eyes before gasping as I c****d my head to the side.     “What? Wait… I know that reaction!” she exclaimed. “Gunther!” she called, and he ran over.     “What?” he asked, looking from me to Brielle, and back again. “Wait, really?!” he exclaimed excitedly.     I nodded my head without saying a word, and his eyes clouded over. I guessed he was mind linking Dr. Reid.     “Come on, let’s get Jalen. Dr. Reid is waiting for us,” he said before running back over to his parents who had Jalen.     “Good luck,” I told Brielle. “Let me know how it goes,” I smiled before walking away towards the packhouse doors where Kane was waiting with Caisson in his arms.     Once we got back up to our apartment, we stripped the twins of their diaper and stood them up in the shower to rinse them off before giving them another bath.     After they were squeaky clean, we got them dressed into regular clothes and gave them a snack before rocking them to sleep for their second nap.     After we laid them down in their cribs, I looked at Kane as I felt a wave of heat wash over me.     “What?” he asked, confused before he sniffed the air, his eyes darkening immediately.     “I want more,” I told him quietly.     “Really? Like, really, really?” he asked, and I nodded.     “Well, your heat is starting, so let get to work. Once the twins wake up, I’ll have my parents take them for the next few days,” he said with the biggest lopsided grin on his face that I loved so much.   *SIX HOURS LATER*       The heat in my body had finally subsided, and Kane was in the kitchen cooking us something to eat. We had briefly stopped several hours ago while Kane’s parents came in and got the twins after they woke up.     I was missing them something terrible, but this isn’t something they should hear, so I knew it was necessary, even if every room was soundproofed.     Kane came in the bedroom then with two plated of chicken parmesan and two Gatorades. He handed me one set and I began digging in before he even sat down. He chuckled at me as he began to eat his own food, and I glared at him.     “What?” he asked.     “Don’t start laughing at me when I could be eating for two or more,” I said. I actually knew I had already conceived again, and it was twins again, because I could feel their souls within me.     “If you have conceived, you wouldn’t need to eat that much just yet,” he replied in a smartass tone. I didn’t reply and instead kept eating. “Nova, look at me,” he said, and I kept eating. “Okay, I’m sorry, it was just funny. Now please look at me,” he pleaded.     I turned to face him, finally meeting his eyes, and he gasped. “Already? How did you know?” he asked.     “I can feel their souls inside me,” I responded and went back to eating.     “What do you think they are?” he asked.     “I don’t know. But as long as they’re healthy, that’s what matters,” I said, and Kane nodded. “But one of each again would be nice,” I added.     “When do you think you’ll go see Dr. Reid this time?” he asked.     “Probably after a week.”     “Can we do a proper reveal to my parents this time, once we find out what we’re having?”     “If they don’t figure it out sooner. You know I’m going to start showing quicker than the first time, right? Just like with humans?”     “Well hopefully we can hide it until we find out what we’re having,” he said. “What were your parents’ names?” he asked softly.     “Avon and Cooper, why?” I asked, tears pricking my eyes as I remember that fateful night, the night my parents were killed in front of me, and I was kidnapped. I wondered if anyone from my pack tried to look for me.     “I was thinking of incorporating one or both sets of parents’ names into these babies’ names,” Kane said.     “Kane? What happened to my old pack?” I asked suddenly after a few minutes of silence.     “The Elders didn’t find the Beta couple fit enough to be Alpha, so they were disbanded and dispersed among the rest of the packs. In fact…” he thought for a minute, “I believe we took in quite a few of your pack members. Mostly lower-level omegas, but also the Beta and Gamma couples.”     “The Beta and Gammas are here? Why haven’t they said anything to me?!” I cried out. “They were like family to me! My Aunts and Uncles!”     “Angel, I don’t think they realized it’s you.”     “But when I first got her, the entire pack was told my story. They would have to know it’s me.”     “Angel, there has to be more than one Nova out there. We have a Delta named Cooper, after all.”     “What? I’ve seen all 7 of the Deltas, including Kate.”     “Baby, we have 12 Deltas. 5 have been on hiatus for over a year traveling,” he said.     “What? When did they leave?” I asked.     “The day…” he stopped and gasped.     “What? When did they leave, Kane?”     “The day you were announced as Luna of the pack,” Kane said softly.     “What are their names?” I growled out.     “Cooper, Roman, Samara, Titus, and Ximena.”     “I want them back here as soon as my heat ends,” I told him. “No if, ands, or butts.”     “Okay, angel, I’ll make the call while you get some rest before the next wave hits,” he said, taking our now empty plates and bottles back into the kitchen.     I couldn’t help but listen in on his side of the conversation.     “Deltas Cooper, Roman, Samara, Titus, and Ximena, your Luna wants you back here in three days. No more than three days.” There was a pause while Kane listened to whatever they had to say. “No, it is not up for debate. You will return to the Blue Moon pack in three days.” Uh-oh, he used his Alpha command on them. “Yes, it is an order. I don’t care what you have left planned, the pack will reimburse you for the money. But you will be back here in three days.” Another pause. “Thank you. I will send Axel and Aryan to pick you all up from the airport.” Another pause. “You’re welcome. See you then,” he hung up the phone.     I laid down and tried to sleep. I felt the bed dip as Kane joined me, wrapping his arms around me, soothing me instantly. I fell asleep quickly after that.
