***CW: TW: MENTIONS OF r**e AND ASSAULT. CONTAINS VIOLENCE***
“Ahem,” Elder Williams cleared his throat, and it was then I noticed that Elder Simmons had made his way back up the stairs of the packhouse. I turned my attention to them.
“Those that have been classified as rogues are dismissed. Remember, you have 30 minutes to be out of this territory,” the new group of rogues headed in different directions back to their respective homes quickly. “Those pack members with a newborn, we will reconvene this meeting tomorrow at noon on the dot. Everyone must be here.”
“Yes, Elders!” the pack responded, and the group of newborns followed suit.
“You are dismissed for the night.” The remaining wolves dispersed. “Alphas, future Alphas and Betas, we will meet at 6 AM sharp in conference room four. We have a lot to discuss. Please, go inside and help yourselves to something to eat. I believe most of the kitchen omegas are now rogues, so there is no one to prepare dinner or breakfast. Please feel free to do the same in the morning. There should be plenty for all of you.”
“Nova and Future Alpha Kane, I would like for Nova to go to the pack hospital to get checked out and find out why she never received medical treatment. I looked down at her and she nodded, so I nodded as well. He looked at Ryker, Amaya, and Ryder and ordered the guards to shackle them in the cellar and begin their torture.
We walked with her arm around my waist and my arm wrapped protectively around her torso. It probably took longer to get there than it should have, but the Elders didn’t complain.
We walked around to the northwestern corner of the packhouse and in through sliding double doors. The receptionist stood up immediately as the Elders turned on her.
“Why did Nova never receive treatment for her injuries?!” Elder Simmons demanded of her in his Alpha tone.
“W… Well, um… uh… we were forbidden to by the Alpha. He gave us direct orders not to treat her,” she stammered.
Elder Simmons turned to me. “Is she telling the truth? What does her soul look like?” he asked me.
I peered into her thoughts and her eyes and found nothing but truth; I relayed this to Elder Simmons. He nodded to the receptionist.
“Dr. Viotto!” he called out, and a man in his early forties came around a corner followed by two nurses: an RN and an LPN.
“Yes, Elder Simmons?” he asked before looking at Nova and then looking at me. A smile formed on his face. “Thank the Moon Goddess that this day has come,” he whispered. “I have been dying to treat her. Viotto literally means life, and I had to stand by idly and watch her get beaten within inches of her death on multiple occasions. I’m so sorry, my dear Nova, please forgive me…” he was on the verge of tears as he pleaded with her, his hands clasped in front of him as he did so. The nurses were visibly crying with joy.
“It’s not an act,” I told both the Elders and Nova. “He truly is sorry, and it has pained all of them to just stand by idly. They swore an oath to help heal those in need and they couldn’t do anything to help Nova.”
“Very well, please run every test and panel there is on her to find out what kind of shape she’s in.”
He tried to lead Nova into a room, but she held onto my shirt and pulled me with her. I followed willingly. We were taken into the nearest exam room.
“I’m going to do a physical exam first. Nurse Skye, Nurse Vivianna please prepare to run every blood panel there is and get my gyno kit, too, please.” They nodded and left the room.
“Nova, I need you to change into this gown. I’ll step out of the room and wait while you do so,” her told her as he handed her a hospital gown and left the room, shutting the door behind him. She turned to look at me, so I turned around and closed my eyes.
“I’m done,” she whispered a minute later. I turned back around and helped her climb onto the hospital bed. A few moments later, there was a knock at the door. I went to open it, allowing Dr. Viotto and his nurses in. I shut the door behind them.
Dr. Viotto started by asking questions, “When did you gain your wolf?”
“The day I turned 15.”
“And you shifted on the next full moon?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Please, Dr. Viotto, or Dr. Vi. How old are you?”
“18.”
“What is your wolf’s name?”
“Venus.”
“Ah, planet of fire.”
“She says that her name will be related to her mate’s name.”
Dr. Viotto turned to me. “Blaze,” I said before he could ask.
“Venus and Blaze, very fitting. How often were you allowed to eat?”
“Once every few days or so. Sometime two days in a row, the longest I went without food was a week. Average was 3 days.”
“What about drink?”
“I was given a bottle of water a day. Some days I was allowed to refill it, but most days I wasn’t.”
“Do you know much about reproduction?”
“I know about s*x, yes. From all the she-wolf sluts that abused me. It’s all they talked about when they weren’t attacking me in some way.”
“Very well. Do you know the terms for everything?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, I’m going to do a physical exam on you and then a pap smear, followed by some bloodwork,” Dr. Viotto informed her. She nodded and held out her hand to me. I took her hand in mine and loved how her hand molded perfectly with mine and the sparks that erupted at her touch.
“Dr. Vi… I was r***d two days ago.”
“Oh, my… Nurse Skye, go get a r**e kit please.”
She turned and left the room.
I mind linked my dad to tell the elders to stop the rogues from leaving because one of them probably r***d Nova.
ROUGES OF GIBBOUS MOON, PLEASE COME SEE US IN FRONT OF THE PACK HOUSE, Elder Simmons sent a massive order via mind link to all the members of Gibbous Moon, and it echoed in my head as I heard it from Dr. Viotto and Nurse Vivianna. Nova and I both gripped our heads at the same time, having been hit by the sheer volume of the mind-link.
“Nova, it’s okay, I dropped my hands immediately and grabbed her hand. Her breathing was becoming increasingly deeper and faster, and her heartrate was skyrocketing along with her blood pressure. I pulled her small frame to me, enveloping her in my embrace. As she breathed in my scent, she began to calm down. Nurse Skye came back with the kit in hand.
“I don’t… they’ll find me and kill me!” she cried out.
“Shhh… no they won’t. Two days ago makes you 17. If it was one of the adults, that’s statutory r**e and punishable by death. And I know who it was. They’ll never come near you again.” I snarled, tightening my grip on her.
“Please, Nova. I promise we will get justice for you,” Dr. Viotto swore.
Nova pulled away and nodded. “What do you need?”
“I’m going to do the r**e kit, that includes taking pictures of any injuries sustained during the r**e. I am going to use the speculum to see into your v****a and take swabs of it, among other things. I will walk you through each step before I do it. After I finish the r**e kit, I’m going to go ahead and do your pap smear.”
Nova nodded again, and the first thing Dr. Viotto did was the least invasive, at least physically. He took pictures of injuries she pointed out were from the r**e. He asked her questions as he did, like how many were involved, where it took place, did she try to bathe afterwards, and so on.
He collected her clothes and especially her underwear, bagging and tagging the evidence after her took samples from her underwear. He took pictures of the bite marks to try to match it up to the impressions of the two she said r***d her. Thankfully neither could actually mark her, but she had dozens of bite marks all over her body. Possibly close to 100.
After he finished the r**e kit and asking questions, he did the pap smear, and I had to turn around when he did the breast exam because Blaze wanted out at that moment.
“Are you the reason 5 of the 49 Elders are here?” I asked her suddenly. “My Dad told me usually only the Elder of the state is at yearly Alpha meetings.”
She nodded. “Thankfully the Elder of New Mexico understood Morse code when he came here and called the others to come. I didn’t know about the newborns until I was thrown down there yesterday.”
I growled at that while Dr. Viotto continued his exam on Nova and had the nurse draw up the bloodwork.
*Elder Simmons P.O.V.*
ROUGES OF GIBBOUS MOON, PLEASE COME SEE US IN FRONT OF THE PACK HOUSE, I sent out the massive mind link to all the Gibbous Moon pack members, using my Alpha tone. I also sent a mind link to two of my guards to bring up Beta Ryan from the cellar.
One by one, the rogues started to gather in front of us Elders. Once there were all 245 rogues and the former beta now bloodied and beaten in front of me, I addressed them.
“It has come to my attention that two of you have another crime to pay for,” I said loudly, gathering the attention of the remaining pack members. My voice drew them out, and slowly they gathered in a loose semicircle around the packhouse.
“Your Beta, Ryan Hendrick, and one of the guards committed a heinous crime on a minor two days ago.” Whispers started going around, including and the rogues’ group. I saw the individual I wanted start to panic.
Then I heard a gasp. “John, how could you?!” his mate screamed at him as realization hit her. Not only was he unfaithful to her, but it also wasn’t even consensual, and it was a minor.
“Your r***d a minor?!” She screamed and started hitting him. “Not only did you cheat, it also wasn’t consensual!” It was like she read my mind.
“N… No, I… I d… didn’t!” he stammered around glancing around him as the rogues all turned on him.
“Did anyone else feel the pain of an unfaithful spouse two days ago?!” She asked the crowd. There were ‘noes’ murmured all around.
“Now what’s your defense?” she yelled at him.
Suddenly, he shifted and took off. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t pay attention to the fact that he was heading straight towards Alpha Kaiden, Nova’s hopeful future father-in-law.
He ran right into a wall of black fur. He stumbled back, caught his footing, and went into attack stance. Alpha Kaiden risked a glance up at me, but his eyes shifted so little, John’s wolf Jay didn’t notice.
I nodded, giving him permission for the fight. This was his punishment before his execution. Alpha Kaiden and I had discussed it on our way to the meeting. John may be a guard, but he was a weak one, weaker than Alpha Kaiden’s weakest guard, and definitely weaker than Alpha Kaiden.
The Alpha snarled and got in an attack stance. Jay stupidly looked around and realized no one was there to help him, but the Alpha wouldn’t go for the easy kill, so to speak.
Jay looked back at the Alpha’s wolf, Zeus. Jay snarled and lunged immediately, but Zeus easily dodged this lunge and turned around and grabbed Jay’s left hind leg, tearing it off as they both landed. Zeus tossed the leg to the side and got back into the attack stance, hackles raised, teeth bared, and blood dripping from his chops.
Jay became unsteady on his remaining feet. He attempted another lunge, but Zeus dodged it and rammed him into a tree. Cracks echoed through the air as Jay landed on the ground in a heap, whimpering. He somehow managed to stand to his feet once again and they started to circle each other. Jay was edging closer and closer, but I knew Zeus noticed.
Once he felt he was close enough, he jumped for Zeus’s shoulder, but Zeus slid to the side and turned around and chomped on Jay’s shoulder instead, ripping a chunk out. Jay collapsed on the ground in a huff, and I could almost see the fight he in John were in, but ultimately Jay won, and I witnessed something I never thought I’d witness. Jay submitted fully and forced John back to the front, causing him to shift back to human form. He lay curled in a ball, unmoving but alive.
Zeus shifted back to his human form and walked over to John who just looked at him with wide eyes. Alpha Kaiden pushed John’s torso with his foot to cause him to roll onto his back. John kept his eyes on the Alpha.
“You’re so pathetic, your own wolf betrayed you! Let me speak to your wolf!” he yelled.
“John Brighton, bring Jay out now!” I commanded.
His eyes went black and then turned into a muddy brown color. “What would you like to know, Alpha Kaiden?” came Jay’s voice.
“Why did you betray your human counterpart?!”
“Because I never wanted to do this, he forced me to. Just like two days ago. I tried to make him impotent so he couldn’t assault the girl, but the sight of her being r***d by the Beta actually turned him on despite everything I tried.”
“So, you tried to prevent his erection, but him watching Beta Ryan r**e that girl gave him a b***r anyways?” the Alpha reiterated.
“Yes, Alpha Kaiden.”
“And he forced himself to shift into you to run and then try to fight?”
“Yes, Alpha Kaiden. May I ask something of you?” Jay asked politely. The Alpha nodded. “Who is that girl to you? No one else shifted to fight me, only you fought me.”
“That was part of the punishment. Severe injuries for r****g a minor.”
“And the girl?” Jay probed.
“She is the rightful next Luna of my pack.”
“I see. And your son is her mate, so he is with her in the hospital?” Alpha Kaiden nodded again. “So, the stupid s**t stain that is my human counterpart didn’t even wear a rubber, did he?”
“No, but even so, she identified him for us.”
“Thank you, Alpha Kaiden. I am so sorry for what that girl had to go through. I tried to do what I could.”
His eyes turned back to a dirty sea green-brown color. “That stupid b***h! I’m going to kill her!” John screamed.
“Guards?” I said, summoning two more. They ran over to John and picked him up by the arms, dragging his one foot along the ground as they brought her in front of me.
“Not only did you r**e a minor, but you also issued a threat to a Luna, future or not?!” I growled. “Take him to the cellar!” I ordered.
I turned back to the group of rogues, who scurried back into their respective homes. They had 5 minutes left. Then I turned to Beta Ryan.
“Now, what to do with you. Hmmm,” I pretended to think. He did have a slight advantage because he had the Beta title, but he officially doesn’t have that tile anymore. “I think it should be the same punishment as your guard.”
His eyes widened. “No, please, no!” This coward.
“What say you, Alpha Kaiden?”
“I agree,” he answered with an evil smile. I motioned for the guards to unshackle him.
“Ryan Hew, shift now!” I commanded.
His eyes turned black and then yellow. “Please, Elder Simmons, I had nothing to do with it!” his wolf, Rion spoke. “Make him fight in human form!”
My ears perked, figuratively, and I raised a brow as I turned to Alpha Kaiden. He nodded in agreement and his smile grew wider. I shoved Ryan down the steps. “You will fight in human form. You will not force a shift, do you understand?” I commanded.
He stumbled down the stairs and then faced me, fear in his eyes. “Yes, Elder Simmons,” he gulped. He turned back around to find the Alpha just a few feet away from him, already in a fighting stance.
Ryan got in a fighting stance, but the beatings he received from my guards had made him weak already. He tried to bounce on the balls of his feet but couldn’t. He took a couple shuffled steps forward and swung for a left hook. The Alpha blocked it, grabbing onto his hand and flipping him onto the ground.
“I just received a mind-link from my son. He says the DNA from the r**e kit matches the DNA on file for both Ryan and John,” Alpha Kaiden relayed to me, not breaking stride. He proceeded to rip Ryan’s arm from his body, and Ryan cried out in pain and stumbled but managed to catch his footing.
Ryan turned and saw the Alpha swinging and managed to duck but lost his balance and fell face first into the ground. The Alpha jumped on him quickly, rolling him over and punching him left and right as he proceeded to dislocate Ryan’s jaw after breaking it, break Ryan’s nose so bad that blood poured from it, give him two black eyes with broken eye sockets, finally knocking him out by slamming his head onto the ground.
The Alpha stood up and dusted himself off. He was free of injuries. Applause erupted, the sound filling the air. I joined in with a smile on my face.
