THERE WILL BE SOME VIOLENCE, DRAMA, AND DEATH BUT MY GOAL IS NOT TO HAVE MUCH OF A PLOT, JUST PURE SUPERNATURAL ROMANCE WITH A HAPPY ENDING.***   *PRESENT DAY*       Kane, will we ever get out of here, my sister mind-linked me. I was 15 now, and I had gained my wolf, but I wasn’t going to let our kidnappers on to that fact.     We will, baby sis, I will risk my life for you to get home where you belong.     But Kane –     No, if it means I die to save you, then my death will not be in vain.     Her and I had been going back and forth like this for weeks now, ever since I gained my wolf. I just had to bide us time for her to gain her wolf. So, I pretended to still be weak, and forced my wolf not to heal me, even though he wanted to.     We were beaten into submission daily, and when I say we, I mean all of the prisoners down in the cellar. I couldn’t tell you how many supernaturals were down there – it was too many to count.     My sister, Kris as she wanted to be called, and I were above ground for our weekly dose of vitamin D. There was a guard with each of us at all times, but we were allowed to wander a little bit to keep our muscles from wasting away. Every time they brought us up here, I surveyed where we were. Thankfully, we seemed to be on the mainland of a country, but which country I had no idea.     You know we have to shift soon, right? My wolf, Blaze interrupted my thoughts.     We have to wait until there are no guards down there with us. I don’t want them to know I’ve gained you, Blaze.     There will be an opening soon, so watch out for it. He disappeared to the back of my mind.     I knew my first shift would be painful, and I was going to scream. Thankfully, I already knew that when the cellar door was closed, the guards couldn’t hear anything coming from the prison below. Unfortunately, there was usually always a guard down there with us.        But how did Blaze know that I’d soon have a chance to shift for the first time? I was pondering this thought when I heard the guard call for the other two guards with my sister and I to bring us back.     “How far did you let them go?!” he screamed at our guards.     “Not that far, Jason, chill. They were checking out the scenery. They wouldn’t have gotten away,” one of the two said.     “Yeah, we stayed on their heels, trust us,” the other guard said.     We have to get them out of here. I heard in my head, but no one had spoken those words out loud. I realized then that it had come from the female guard who was approaching us.     “It’s not 6 yet,” the guard that had been yelling said to her with his brow raised.     “Boss ordered me here early today,” she shrugged.     “Lucy, take them back down to their cell.” She nodded and grabbed our arms roughly, dragging us down the stairs and back to our cell. She reached through and pulled me close to her.     “I’m going to get all of you out of here,” she whispered to me before shoving me away from the bars.     Your opening is coming, be patient.     “Say, “I’m hungry,” she whispered before walking away.     As soon as Lucy disappeared and the cellar door shut, I stood there confused. Was she helping us? Why?   *THE NEXT DAY*     We need to shift tonight, the night of the full moon to gain our powers, Blaze told me.     What? Powers?! I exclaimed, but he had retreated to the back of my head.     Okay, well we got brought one meal a day at noon, I thought to myself. Lucy is the night guard. I knew they kept two more guards up top outside the door. Lucy came at 6 P.M. every night. When the door opened at 6 P.M., I knew that the sun not setting meant it was summer, which meant no full moon yet.     I was taught by others how to count and know my ABC’s written and in sign language, along with reading and writing, how many seconds were in a minute, minutes in and hour, and hours in a day. I knew that in summer, the moon was at its peak between 9 and 10 PM. I had a pretty good estimate on how long an hour was. So all I needed to do was wait three and a half hours.     At my three-hour mark, I counted to thirty minutes before calling out, “Lucy!” and she was at our cell after a few minutes. “I’m hungry,” I complained.     She nodded and went upstairs and slammed the cellar door shut, signaling to me that I needed to shift and fast.     Blaze, how do we shift?     Just let me take over, he said, and suddenly I was shoved to the back of my own mind. I looked over at     We stripped instinctively, and I could feel my bones popping out of place, the fur sprouting from my pores, and my head changing shape. I tried to hold in my screams of pain, but it was futile. Joints reconfigured and my body reshaped itself, and suddenly I was on all fours. I was huge. I had to duck because the ceilings weren’t high enough for me to stand up straight, and they were at least 12-foot ceilings. Kris jumped back in fear and surprise.     Blaze let me have control back and I was on two feet again. I swayed a few times before falling backward onto the cot I call a bed.     “Kane! Kane!” I heard Kris shouting before everything went black.   *Kris’s P.O.V.*     “Kane! Kane!” I shouted as his eyes rolled to the back of his head. “Kane… please… wake up,” I sobbed, sprawled across him. Then I felt movement under me and a groan.     “Owwwwwww,” he groaned again. I got off him immediately.     “Kane? Kane, can you hear me?”     Yes, I can hear you, now shush before she comes back down.     Oh, my goddess, you’re okay.     Yes, Kris, I’m okay.     I sobbed and hugged him one more time before I composed myself.     That s**t f*****g hurt, he says.     I wish I could help. Your screams… she shuddered.     It was amazing though. I really felt like I was one with my wolf. It still does. But I could feel every bone in my body crack and break to take the form of a wolf.     You were huge! Really f*****g huge!     We’re supposed to be, dear sister of mine. We’re of Alpha blood, after all.     Black with fiery red ear tips, muzzle, and paws. Oh and your tail. So, I’m going to be that huge?!     A little smaller, but yes. He couldn’t help but chuckle when my eyes widened like they were bulging out of their sockets.     What now?     We wait until you gain your wolf.     Uggghhh. At least two more years in this prison?!     He cut of the mind link and closed his eyes, trying to get some rest.   *APPROX. TWO YEARS AND 6 MONTHS LATER* *Kane’s P.O.V.*     I had learned that Blaze was all black, with fiery red patches on his snout, the tip of his ears, his paws, and his tail with golden eyes.     Kane, I gained my wolf, my sister mind-linked me.     What’s her name? My wolf is Blaze.     Ignisia. Though she wants me to call her Nissi. She says tonight is the full moon and that I need to shift tonight.     Are you ready?     Yes.     “Lucy! I’m hungry!” I called out. She came over to our cell and announced, “I need someone to create a ruckus so the other two would come down, the boss would enter the passcode to open the cell door as you read their minds,” and then she was going to shoot him with her own gun. The other two were in on this apparently and were going to help us get to safety as the big boss did his circle around the immediate area.     We were going to have to time this right. Once I gave her the passcode, she was going to open all the cell doors and we were going to have to run for the hills to the left when we left the cellar.     “You’re a werewolf,” I stated bluntly. “Your scent is faint, but it’s there.”     “Yes, and no one does this to our kind, or any kind for that matter.”     “What about the other two?”     “Werebear and weretiger.”         My jaw dropped. “You’re joking right?”     “Come on, I need someone to create a distraction to get the boss down here.”     Suddenly, an all-out brawl started between two guys who were also werewolves from what I could tell.     Lucy ran to the cellar door and threw it open. “Leroy!” she shouted. “Leroy! Two of the prisoners are fighting!”     A big burly guy appeared, and his eyes were black with anger. He slammed the cellar door shut, ran down the stairs and over to a keypad.     5747795, he thought as he entered each number hurriedly, tapped the screen a few times, and the cell that the two fighting werewolves were in unlocked.     BANG! The shot rang out muffled, and he dropped dead on the floor.     “Tell me you got the numbers,” Lucy said to me as the two brawling wolves stopped fighting and bro hugged before high-fiving. They exited the cell and stood by Lucy.     “5747795” I told her, and she entered it into the keypad, tapped the screen a few times, and every cell unlocked. Everyone stood in shock for a few seconds before recovering and exiting their respective cells.     “Thank you, Lucy!” everyone shouted.     Right on cue, the cellar door swung open. “Come on, hurry everyone,” one of the guards said in an urgent tone.     “Kris, you have to shift. The full moon is at its peak. Let Nissi take control, she’ll do the work. Try not to scream. It’s going to hurt, but you can’t scream,” I urged her. Her eyes were now turquoise, indicating her wolf was at the front.     “Stand back,” Nissi said to me. I stepped back, and I heard bones cracking and popping, and Kris’s mouth was clamped shut. Fur sprouted as her hands and feet turned to paws and her face extended into a snout, and then she was on all fours. Before I could say anything, she shifted back immediately, whimpering as she collapsed in my arms.     I carried her to the top of the stairs and out of the cellar, taking off to my left as she began to stir in my arms. I looked back to see Lucy and the other two guards arguing before one of the guards pulled a gun and shot the head boss directly between his eyes. He dropped to the ground in an instant.     Kris was fully awake now. “Kris, we have to shift to get out of here,” I told her as I set her down. She nodded and we both let our wolves take over and shift before we took off running again.     I settled into the back of Blaze’s mind as he ran for dear life, not knowing how many more could be out there searching for everyone.     We ran for hours and just as the sun was starting to make it’s appearances, we stumbled and came to a halt at a rapid river. We shifted back.     “We have to go in, it’s our safest chance of getting out of here.”     “Kane, what do you mean?! Why don’t we just follow it?”     I looked at her for a minute before letting Blaze take over. We ran parallel to the river for hours. The sun was starting to set again when we came to a sudden halt. We were at a waterfall that cascaded over a cliff and about 500 feet below was a lake. Beyond the lake was a small town.     I shifted back right as Kris did, and I grabbed her hand and jumped without a second thought. She screamed the whole way down. I heard other shouting as we fell, but what caught my attention was the howling.     We landed in the water with a force that knocked the breath out of me. As we surfaced, I never let go of Kris’s hand. I heard a motor of some sort coming towards us and fought to stay up and hold her up.     A boat reached us soon enough and I had them take Kris first before I let them help me onto the boat. We were laid out and Kris was coughing up water as I beat on her back to get it all out.     We reached the shore and I realized that the small town was only small from my vantage point.     “What are your names?” One of the guys in the boat asked as Kris was still coughing up water. He was a werewolf as well. I peered into his eyes and realized I could sense his soul. He was nothing but good.     “Kane and Kris. We’re siblings. I was taken when I was five, and Kris was brought two years later when she was five.”     The guys’ eyes widened before they glanced at the left side of my chest and then they widened more.     “Welcome home, Future Alpha Kane,” he said, half bowing from his seat before removing his shirt to give to Kris to cover up.     Now my eyes widened. “We’re in the Blue Moon territory? My parents are here?”     “You remember?”     “Of course. I was five when I was kidnapped.”     We reached the dock and I helped Kris to her feet. We climbed off the boat.     A man and a woman were running towards us. It didn’t take Kris and me but two milliseconds to run to them as they enveloped us in a hug.     “Kane! Kris!” they cried tears of joy and we cried with them. “Our babies are finally home! Come now, let’s get you checked out by the pack doctor,” my mom said, still crying.     They led us towards the packhouse and through it to the pack hospital.     There were whispers all around us as we walked. When we entered the hospital, a doctor in his early thirties came rushing out, followed by one in his early fifties.     “So, it’s true?! They really are home!” the older one exclaimed, embracing us both.     We froze as his scent hit us and both reached out to shove him away.     “Seize him! He’s the traitor!” I exclaimed. My mom and dad gasped but nodded.     My dad’s eyes clouded over before returning to their normal blue color, and three men ran in, grabbing the older doctor as he fought against them.     “Traitor? What do you mean?!” the doctor exclaimed.     “You’re the one that kidnapped us and gave us to the traffickers! I would never forget your stench,” I growled as Blaze came forward.     “You did it all for the money! We trusted you, and you just gave us away with ease!” Kris shouted. “You didn’t even blink an eye when we cried out for you to save us! You just got in your car and drove away!”     “You kidnapped our children?!” My dad shouted; his eyes were black as night. He swung a fist at the doctor, hitting him square in the jaw. The doctor cried out, but my dad didn’t care. “Take him to the isolation cell!” my dad commanded in his Alpha tone.     “Yes, Alpha!” the three men shouted before dragging a kicking and screaming Dr. Harold away.     “Dr. Perez, please do a full examination on my children,” my mom said to the other doctor, and he nodded his head profusely.     “Yes, Luna.”     After hours of tests, we found out our vitamin D levels were low, but the rest of our bloodwork was normal. We were malnourished, which was expected, but other than that, nothing was out of the ordinary.
