It wasn't difficult to reach the village Beta Lina had pointed out. In about three hours on the road, we spotted the town, and in one more hour, just as the sun of a rather cloudy noon beat down on our heads, we arrived in the vicinity. Not wanting to draw the attention of the local population, which, as Beta Lina had told me, was composed of up to ninety percent humans, we split into two groups. By luck, I ended up going with Liam and seven of the men who were now following us. Ethan joined Aly, Mel, and the remaining eight men. Each group entered the village from a different street, maintaining some distance between us. Liam and I would go to the tavern Beta Lina had mentioned, while Ethan and Aly, along with Mel and the fifteen men, would conduct a quick exploration of the village.
