We were in the car for an hour until we reached the airport in comfortable silence. I had time to calm my anxiety. Not only had I escaped from Liam and Ethan, but I had also left Aly behind. Part of me desperately hoped she would forgive me, but I wouldn't blame her if she couldn't. After all, she had done nothing but support me, and yet I had left and only let her know when she couldn't do anything to change my mind. Liam and Ethan seemed to understand my reasons for leaving, although the pain still lingered in the back of their minds. I hoped Aly would understand too. It was a meeting I had been anticipating and, in a way, dreading. I hadn't thought much about my mom and how she would feel about my departure, although I could assume she was distressed, and her men would still be looking
