Friends

Serenity's POV I clenched my hand tightly into a fist, but it isn't enough to stop it from shaking. I couldn't stop myself from looking straight ahead, and watch out for a huge mansion to appear because that's probably where Dannon lives.  I can see Nathan taking quick glances at me. "Just focus on driving," I muttered without looking at him. I heard him chuckle. "You look so tensed. Just relax, Sere." I was taken aback by his words that I finally stopped waiting for that mansion and look at him.  [ Sere is pronounced like cere in sinCERE.] "What did you call me?" He gave me another quick glance. Regret was evident on his face and at the same time, worry. Probably because he thinks I did not like it. No one ever called me like that. My father has always called me princess, baby, or just Serenity. Sere just seemed like a typical shortcut name that a friend would use to call me.  "I'm sorry, did I offend you? Am I not allowed to call you that way?" He kept giving me quick glances. Back and forth from the road to me. I just looked at him and tried not to show any emotion. I don't want to assume anything. I looked away and sighed. "I'm sorry. What should I call you? Is Serenity okay?" He chattered nervously. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I hid myself from his sight so he wouldn't see it. As soon as I stopped my lips from making an upward curve I turn back to look at him who's brows are still knitted.  "It's fine," I said monotonously.  "Good," He sighed in relief. "We're almost there." I was thrown back on the edge again. My hand started to quiver from nervousness again. A little moment there, I forgotten about where we're heading. My eyes roamed to look for a mansion but all I see is an average size house. t's probably a three bedroom house. It has a wide front yard and a single tree planted. Nathan parked his car and shut the engine off. He turn to look at me and gave me an encouraging smile. "Let's go?" I nodded and got myself out of his car. I let out a sigh and walked beside Nathan. The gate was open so we went inside directly. "Does he even know how to close the gate?" Nathan mumbled. It was probably for him to park his car inside but I didn't bother to tell I just shook my head and followed him. We stopped in front of the door. "Yohoooo! Kai brotheeeer? I'm here!" I took a deep breath. I'm trying hard to stop my knees from shaking. I heard the door click and Nathan twisted the knob open. My mini heart attack was postponed when I did not see Dannon inside waiting for us. "This house is remote controlled. Pretty suitable for a lazy person like Dannon," He told me. I faked a laugh because that's all I could ever react at this moment.  I heard a door creak open which made me jumped. Nathan seems to be amused by my reaction but it isn't disrespecting. Dannon came out from what I think is a hallway. His wearing black shorts and a gray sleeveless undershirt that perfectly hugged his body showing how well built he is. He eyes widened in surprise to see me. I feel my heart start a marathon inside me. He slowly walked towards me which only made my heart beat even louder. This is the postponed mini heart attack happening right now, and it doesn't feel mini AT ALL!  "You're here," He softly said and gave me a smile. After that he diverted his attention to Nathan who's warily staring at us as if something is about to happen. "What took you so long?" Dannon asked him. "We were a bit far away from here. The place was so peaceful and fresh, bro! We should go there sometimes." Dannon closed his right eye in annoyance.  "I doubt any place would be peaceful with in at it, Nate." Dannon scoffed at him which made him look at me, expecting me to back him up, but I did not speak up. "Why are you together?" Dannon suddenly asked me. I took a step back and calmed myself down. "Uhh," "We met at that peaceful place I just told you. I was driving around and I got there. It was a coincidence to see her there," I'll praise Nathan for coming up with a believing excuse this time. Dannon took his excuse and he smiled at me. I was stopped and couldn't smile back at him. "Serenity," My heart started beating fast again as he said my name. "I'm sorry about what I said the other day. That was so stupid of me." My throat suddenly felt dry and I had to swallow a couple of times. "I know saying sorry isn't enough for you to forgive me and that's why I want to make it up to you." I still couldn't find any words to say to him. I just stood there looking at him. With a heart that's beating so fast and loud. Can he hear it?  "What about a dinner? Or lunch? Anything you prefer. It's all on me." "Heyyy," Nathan suddenly interrupted which I was grateful for. I don't think I can take that situation any longer. I couldn't believe his being nice to me. Too nice that I couldn't believe it to be true. Dannon glared at him but Nathan just smiled. "I can come too right?" He asked with a wide grin on his face. "You just demanded me to come here ASAP, dude. You can't just leave me alone. Besides, it's not like your asking her on a date, right?" Dannon sighed and rolled his eyes at Nathan. "Fine! You can come." Nathan's smile grew wider.  "We should also ask Daniel to come! It'll be fun! All four of us friends having a whole day of bonding."  They both went ahead of me. I couldn't make myself walk after what Nathan said.  Friends
