MY heart was beating so fast as I waited for Jericho to come out of school. My mom wanted to wait with me, but I just asked her to stay in the car since she might feel uncomfortable waiting outside with all the people around. My younger brother insisted on waiting with me, and I didn’t stop him.
Jeffrey: “So, sis, do you have a boyfriend or are you married?”
Jessica: “Me? No, I’m not married. No boyfriend either.”
I had to think a bit before answering whether I actually had a boyfriend or not. I have Paul, but I don’t know what our relationship is. The thought of him made me miss him.
Jeffrey: “Jake seems smitten by you.”
Jessica: “Jake who?”
Jeffrey: “The marketing guy. I saw you talking last night. He’s been texting me all day, asking things about you.”
