I got to Jericho’s school with a few minutes to spare. It was still early when I left the hotel, so I went to a coffee shop first to think about what had happened with Paul. While I was there, I got a text from Almira asking where I was. Apparently, she was nearby, so I invited her to join me.
We were sitting at the table when I decided to ask Almira about her relationship with my brother.
Jessica: “So, how long have you and Jerome been together?”
Almira: “We actually went to the same high school, and we met there, but we didn’t really start dating until I was a sophomore in college, so we’ve been dating for almost three years.”
Jessica: “Wow, really?”
Almira: “Yeah. I’ve always had a crush on him, though, but he was the school heartthrob and always had a girlfriend
