Lydia’s POV I checked the time on my phone again and frowned when I saw that it was only six-thirty. Somehow, the last five minutes had managed to feel like an entire hour. I tossed my phone onto the coffee table and leaned back against the sofa, trying to convince myself that there was absolutely no reason for me to be nervous. It wasn’t as if I was waiting for some grand romantic gesture. We were simply going out together. That was all. Two people leaving the house for an evening. Still, the nervous flutter in my stomach refused to cooperate with my reasoning. Maybe it was because this was the first time we were going somewhere together like this.
