Chapter 1 and 2 A Chance Encounter-Falling

Page 1 The first time I saw her, it wasn’t beneath fireworks or during some grand romantic gesture. It was in the corner of a small bookstore on a rainy Saturday afternoon. She was reaching for the same novel I wanted, and our hands brushed. “Sorry,” she laughed, pulling back. “No… you can have it.” She smiled. “How about we both read it and compare notes over coffee?” That single question changed everything. ⸻ Page 2 Coffee turned into dinner. Dinner turned into late-night walks beneath city lights. Every conversation felt effortless, like we’d somehow skipped years of awkward introductions and landed in the middle of something that had already been written. I wasn’t looking for forever. But forever had quietly walked into my life. Page 3 Weeks became months. We learned each other’s favorite songs, comfort foods, dreams, and fears. She loved thunderstorms. I loved the way she’d reach for my hand whenever thunder rolled across the sky. Sometimes we’d dance barefoot in the kitchen while dinner burned in the oven. Neither of us cared. ⸻ Page 4 One evening, we stood on her apartment balcony watching the sunset. She leaned into me. I wrapped my arms around her waist, and she rested her head against my shoulder. The kiss we shared was slow and lingering, full of anticipation and tenderness. Time seemed to disappear as we smiled against each other’s lips, savoring the closeness and the promise of what our future together might hold.
