“I won’t let him touch you again.”
Adrian’s voice was tio calm. But something in his eyes made my chest tighten. It wasn’t just protection. It was something heavier. Something darker.
And for the first time since I woke up in this hospital bed, I was genuinely scared—not just of the accident anymore, but of what I was now part of. Because this wasn’t random. Someone had been watching me. Someone had hit me on purpose.
And Adrian knew exactly who it was.
I swallowed hard.
“Adrian…” my voice came out smaller than I intended. “What is going on?”
He didn’t answer immediately.
