CHAPTER TEN LARA’S POV I hated grocery shopping alone. Not because it was stressful. But because nobody warned me adulthood involved standing in supermarket aisles debating whether buying scented candles was financially responsible. It wasn’t. I still bought one. Vanilla scented.
